Chapter 99: Cherry boy?
Shawn perplexed. He didn't know if he should be glad or not after listening to Michael's drunken words. He should be glad as he didn't need to bother another fangirl but he didn't satisfy that his perfect looks aren't Satomi's taste.
A bruise on his ego.
Either way, Michael had started talking about Satomi, their childhood stories, the opening of Sakura and why she closed it down.
"Did you seen her recently?"
Shawn trying to dig as much as he could. Hearing Shawn's question, Michael pondered a bit but his scrunched eyebrows indicated he thought of something unpleasant. He turned his head to his left and looking Shawn sharply.
"Why ask me all this question? What you intended to get from all this, Shawn?"
When Shawn noticed the sudden changed in Michael's tone, he knew that he could get anything more from him. Not to raise any suspicion, he indifferently answered him.
"Well, you were the one talking about her. I just simply ask, nothing more. If you don't want to tell, it's okay. Nothing gain, nothing lost."
Michael thought of it a bit then his contour relaxed afterward. Shawn quietly observed Michael lowering his guard down. Both gentlemen kept their silent, enjoying the peace between them.
After a while, Michael started to poke Shawn right side.
"Hey, Shawn. Could I ask you a question?"
Instead of replying to Michael, Shawn gave him a silent nod as he picked up his glass and took a gulp. Shawn got an instinct that he wouldn't like whatever question that Michael would throw to him.
"You can avoid answering me if you want. I won't force an answer from you."
Shawn waited for Michael to continue his speech, inclining that he agreed to Michael proposition to allow him to ask him a question.
"Are you a cherry boy?"
