Ian arranged a room for Kenny near the ICU and a separate room for him and Tia so that they can wait and watch over Mei Chen.
While his parents went home and tasked their subordinates to do a separate investigation as well as release a public statement regarding the incident.
BYTE international is a multi million dollar company and an incident such as an explosion inside the company will surely hit the news.
While they are waiting for Ian, Tia sat beside Kenny.
"Hey, she'll be alright our little Mei is a fighter. Don't worry."
She said. The truth was she was also trying to convince herself that Mei Chen will be alright.
"I shouldn't have left her earlier. What if I don't get the chance again."
Kenny regretfully said. He's worried that Mei Chen would just stayed in a coma and would never woke up again.
"When she wakes up you can tell her whatever it is that you want to say. You have to stay strong and be positive."
Tia consoled him. She could see that Kenny really cared for her little sister.
"Sister in law I'm afraid to lose her. I have never been so afraid to lose something.
She was lying lifeless on the floor, everything seems so bleak, were just lucky to be alive."
Kenny trembles as he recall the scenes earlier. The dark smoke surrounding them and everything looks chaotic.
He didn't really know how he manage to move his body out of that hell hole.
He remembered feeling all heavy and weak, it was only the thought of saving Mei Chen that had given him strength.
"Hey, take it easy. Your drip seems to be empty. Why don't you lie down first.
I'll call you as soon as she wakes up I swear you'll be the first one to see her."
She called Ian and minutes later he arrived together with a nurse to assist Kenny.
As soon as he saw Tia sitting beside Kenny Ian's ink black eyes intently glared at them..
He was clearly upset by what he saw.
Tia immediately sense his jealousy 3 rooms away from her.
'Seriously this guy!'
She rolled her eyes and went to her fiancé's side.
The nurse helped Kenny and walked him inside. He was transferred to a room just adjacent to the ICU.
Tia and Ian stayed on the next room. Minutes later Rin Chan came in with some change of clothes and different varieties of food.

Fun fact: Kenmei けんめい[懸命]in japanese meant eagerness or risking one's life.
I just found out about it yesterday while listening to a Japanese song with 'kenmei' word in its lyrics so i searched and was surprised to see how this coincides with the story. - =͟͟͞͞ ( ꒪౪꒪)ฅ✧
