Chapter 5: give life from taking it

"the goal was for goods not assassination" Archer grumbled as they stumble into another fight as a pair of elves cut of there path and a hidden group unleashed a barrage of arrows from the sky as the Sorceress barely cast a shield spell on the two as the archer readies his bow only to realize he was betrayed with only a smile and a single sentence "he wasn't the only target" as the arrows pierce every part of his body taking his life bit by bit with the flow of poison on every arrow tip and ending with the last from pair in front as the arrows lodged in his throat cutting his last words in half only left with a second he locked eyes with his Ex-teamate who disregarded the look in his eyes. Left speechless at the blatant betrayal the elves were taking surprise by in those few seconds as the fighter used the chance to charge attack as he pulled a greatsword out of a small pouch they realized to late he had magical artifacts as the blade cut through there rank cleaveing there 14 members down to 9 with 4 cut in half dead and one injured. as the injured elves pulled a dagger to stab the fighter there was sudden jolt as a energy bolt mistifys his head leaving a half kneeling headless body leaking blood in spurts. Seeing there kin massacred by these monsters they engage in close range combat and try to overwhelm the fighter to attack the sorceress in a swarm but were delayed as the fighter put his all shielding her with his body as he needed her buffs otherwise his armor would have gone to shit and he would be wounded rather badly unknown to him she stopped casting magic on him after the first initial buff. As the fight continued the fighter managed to kill 2 more elves knocking it down to 7 but suffered slashes to both his back and leg which now run red with blood as the loss of which has made him a easier target for the elves versus the sorceress who at some unknown point put up a barrier to stop the arrows from striking her and keep everything away from her as she inched back step by step every time they clashed with blade on blade or blade on barrier. Covered in blood both his and his enemy's his sight failed to see the Sorceress charging a spell to flee and abandon him as the nearest elves ran past trying to attack his support, waiting for the elves to get arms length past the fighter turned clipped the running elves with the great sword and followed through with the elves attacking his opening which made the elve eat the better part of his blade . Having killed 3 it was down to 6 and one of which just offered the fighter to pick up and use him as a deterrent club to swing him into the closest as wounded elves turn and try to flee. Seeing the lose of most of his men the elve furthest back ordering his allys to shield him as he pulled out a horn which shocked the fighter into asking for help from the only range unit the sorceress that he hired for the party only to mislead her spell as an attack as he focused on the surrounding elves. Fighting through the defence line of the elves he made his way to the leader after many minutes, wounds and exhaustion which left him kneeling and huffing in a sorry state as he bled profusely out of the many gashes and cuts with one random swollen check where a elve used his elbow as he was cut down to get in a lucky shot. After charging up the horn with his mana the elve dove into the tree line and fled as the horn sounded with the fighter left there cursing as the sorceress had activated her skill [teleport] to send herself to safety abandoning the fighter.
