Chapter 9: Save Gaara (2)
I scanned the two Akatsuki in front of me, one on the left was a short bulky guy with sharp spiky hairs, umm... instead of calling him short, I felt like this guy short of lying prone, and he didn't seem could walk or move around pretty fast. And the one on the right had this weird hairstyle, the bang covered his right side of the face and he tied the top of his head with a strange ponytail, his hair was bright yellow compared to Ino's platinum blond.
Garaa was a red-haired man, lying in comatose behind those two, beside him, was a giant ass bird, and the fucking thing just swallowed Garaa whole!
Damn, was he dead?! Wait no, the bird didn't seem a real bird, the appeared was like a puppet or doll instead.
So one used some kind of doll as his style of attack? Interesting, I wondered what kind of ability his dolls might have, that bird definitely could fly like a real one, as for the short bulky one... I had no idea how he would fight with that seemingly slow body, perhaps range type? He actually looked like a mini tank...
I didn't really fight someone without knowing their abilities, this was not sparring, after all, one of us could have killed with just one mistake.
"What's the plan?" Tenten said as she looked at Guy who also seemed to frown.
"The priority is to retrieve the Kazekage back, but we shouldn't do it rashly, remember who these two are, the best thing we could do is not to make them leave this cave, and once Kakashi and his team arrived, that's our win..." Guy said.
I frowned a bit, I didn't have a way to prevent these people from leaving, but I got some spell to prevent that bird from flying, I looked at Tenten, I thought this way the opportunity to capture a woman's heart that I should not waste, not, it's not about defeating the bad guy single-handedly, but showing some struggle in the effort, like I was saying before, showmanship played an important part when it came to picking up girl, in their confused heart, looking at the sweetheart in a jeopardized situation could reveal how they truly felt about them, this could strengthen the foundation of a relationship between them and smoothened it to the next level.
"Guys, let me handle the man with a strange hairstyle, you go for the short bulky one," I said, earning a surprised face from the rest of the people.
"No, are you crazy? This is Akatsuki we talk about, don't be stupid!" Tenten scolded me, her eyes clearly showed her temper.
"I am not stupid, I am confident I can defeat him," I showed a cocky grin, not, I wasn't trying to make her believed me, I wanted her to be irritated and annoyed.
"Abe, you need to think twice, there are five of us, let one of us help you, Neji..." Guy said with a serious face, this clearly proved how critical this battle was. Right, not only we had to fight perhaps two S-rank missing-nin but also retrieved Garaa in the process, we also couldn't stall the fight for too long in case the other members of Akatsuki would arrive, but in our part, Naruto and his team also on the way here, so it's actually the fight of time between each of us.
"Yes, teacher," the Netflix addict, I mean Neji Hyuga nodded, designated to help me in the fight, Tenten and Lee were still Chunin while Neji already a Jonin, so it made sense if Guy sent him to help me instead.
"Come on, I said I can fight him alone then I can do it, besides, aren't we have to get Garaa as soon as possible?" I walked a few steps forward.
"You stubborn fool!!!" Tenten's eyebrows snapped downward, "Teacher, if this guy wants to die, then let him be!"
"Tenten..." Guy became hesitant, I looked at him and revealed a confident smirk, he eventually nodded, said, "don't hesitate to ask for help."
"Well..." I smiled then looked at Tenten, she refused to see me in the eyes, she just met for one day and yet here she was, upset because of me, if she didn't have a feeling for me, she would have ignored my bravado.
"I can't wait for our second date..." I said before facing the two guys again, you knew this kind of words usually a death flag, and Tenten couldn't help but snap her eyes toward me, biting her lips.
"Let's go!" I dashed ahead, at this moment, the blonde man rode on the top of the giant bird, and he flew high toward the cave entrance.
"Like hell, I will let you," I quickly gathered my Qi on my feet and kicked hard on the ground, I was quickly rocketed toward the bird and prepared to kick it down, but the bird spun, dodging my foot.
"Goodbye..." the blonde smirked, he thought because I was on the air, I would be unable to continue to attack him.
And he was so wrong, I pinched my thumb to my forefinger just like grabbing a disc, channeling my mana, I said, "Down!"
Then I swung my hand toward the bird, the instant the invisible attack struck it, the big doll immediately dropped down to the ground as if something sucked it from below, the blonde guy was left hanging in the midair for a bit before he grabbed the doll in panic and followed it to fall onto the ground.
"What's going on?! Fly!!!" the blonde guy clenched his teeth, but the fall was inevitable.
*Bang!*
The doll bird crashed hard. I spun several times in the air, a blaze of fire emerged from the tip of my knuckle, circulating just like how I moved, every rotation causes the flame to grow bigger and bigger, then after I thought it was enough, I sent the fire downward, it shot out in a form of the fireball as big as half of that bird.
"Damn it!"
The blonde man quickly ran off from his bird, but I didn't let him go, I quickly controlled the fire and redirected it toward him again.
*Boom!*
The fireball hit the blonde, I dropped back onto the ground and rolled several times before standing up against, I glanced my eyes at Tenten and the others, at this moment, the short bulky guy's robe had been torn apart, revealing his entire body that was quite shocking, even for me.
First, there was this giant Scorpio-like tail that came out from the mouth of a demonic face on his back and the left arm was some kind of mechanism, the overall appearance clearly not a human.
Was he a doll user too?
At this moment, several birds made of puppet flew toward me, I tried to lose them but they just kept flying in my direction, I stretched out my palm, and said, "Barrier!"
A blue-like translucent wall emerged in front of me, making the birds hit it and fell toward the ground, I thought it was strange nothing really happened, and when I wanted to look for the blonde guy's figure, the birds suddenly lit and explode!
I quickly used 'travel' to get away from the explosion, I saw that blonde guy had ridden his giant bird again, the 'down' spell wasn't permanent, as soon as the target hit the ground, the spell would immediately disappear, now the bird could fly again.
I traveled once more and now appeared on the back of the blonde guy, also riding the giant bird. I slapped my palm onto the bird's body and as my mana gathered on my hand, I said, "Glue!"
The giant bird's body lit with blue light and it was completely attached to the ground now and unless I released it, the bird wouldn't be able to fly again!
The blond guy noticed me and he raised up his palm, I saw... a mouth?! There was a mouth that appeared on his palm. Then from the mouth, several white spiders came out crawling, they were leaping toward me.
I gathered the Qi on my feet and kicked the body of the bird, launching my self toward the blonde while fire emerged from my knuckle, my sudden approached caught him off guard, and before he could dodge, I managed to hit him on the cheek, sending him flying toward the nearby wall.
There was a moment of silence, but I quickly saw his figure again and his bumpy cheek with extra burn marks.
"You are fighting quite well..." the blonde guy said, there was a small smirk on the corner of his lips.
"I originally had to carry the one tail away from here, but it seemed unless I defeat you, it's not possible..."
"You are good too..." I smirked.
"I am Deidara, what's your name?" the blonde stretched out his both arms, now I saw both of his hands also had a mouth, damn, I could see myself using them for a good purpose, coughed, definitely not something pervert.
"Abe, Abe Stu."
"Good Abe! Be grateful that you can die while enjoying my piece of art!"
