Chapter 31: New Turn In Relationship...
Anna starts the car and after a short drive stops it near a small shop.
"Come we have arrived" Anna informs Xian while getting down from the car.
"Are you sure we are eating it here? I was expecting some high star restaurant knowing your personality" Xian speaks out after getting surprised to see the place choose by Anna.
"Oh is it! Then let's say you don't know me well. This is one of my favorite places and had been coming her from my childhood. The burgers here are yum and Uncle Mario does an awesome job with all the items in the list. You will love it." Anna replies while walking in front of Xian and gesturing him to follow her.
"Hello Uncle Mario, how have you been?" Anna hugs Mario while greeting him.
"Helloooo my dear lady, I am perfectly fine all thanks to the love of my life Juliette. How are you and it's been ages you came back here?"
"I am fine as well and was not in town thus couldn't visit much often. I know Aunt Juliette takes care of you so well. Where is she, in kitchen?"
"Yeah as usual preparing the orders and making sure the chef in charge is following her orders. Who is this gentleman, your boyfriend?"
"Ahh…He is Mr. Xian and I was working for him during my visit in Japan and Xian he is Uncle Mario who sells the best burgers in Kings Cross"
"Oh c'mon young lady, don't exaggerate things. Our burgers are just fine. Come let me show you your seats" Uncle Mario helps Anna and Xian to grab a pair of seats at one of the corners.
"Here is the menu, go through it and let me know what you want to order. I will be back in a minute" He walks away to attend other customers leaving them alone to decide from the menu.
Xian looks around the complete cafe which is painted in mustard and brown shade, small cozy place giving good vibes. There are paintings hanging around the walls in different sizes, small round tables with wooden stools to sit around. They have a small desk at one of the corner followed by a small glass box which has all the pastries. Mario sits on the desk and a gate behind him which leads to the kitchen. One can smell the entire aroma coming out of kitchen as the gate is half in size.
"Any problem, are you comfortable" Anna asks Xian after seeing him checking the place.
"Yeah, it's a nice place"
"What would you like to eat?" Anna asks again while placing her menu card on table.
"I will take the same as yours as not sure what is the signature dish"
"Sure", Anna waves at Mario to place the order.
"Uncle I will have veggie burger, French fries, garlic bread with cheese and rosemary, red velvet pastry and wine from your old stock. And please repeat the same order for him as well" Anna narrates the order and end with giving a broad smile.
"Sure, the food will be served in few minutes. Let me get you your drinks by then"
Juliette gets out of the kitchen with the finest wine in their collection and walks up to the Anna and Xian.
"Hello my lovely lady, how have you been?" Juliette greets Anna after placing both the wine glasses on table and kissing her on cheeks. Juliette is her late 60's but still as dashing as a 30-year-old woman.
"I am good Juliette, what about you?"
"As you can see, all rock and rolling. Who is this handsome, your boyfriend?"
"Ah no Juliette, He is Xian and I was working for him during my visit in Japan and Xian she is Juliette Mario's wife."
"Hello beautiful lady" Xian takes her hand and places a greeting kiss on back side of the hand.
"So bad you aren't couple as you both look great together. Let me fetch your dishes"
After Juliette leaves Xian smiles at Anna "See everyone except you think we aren't a great match" he winks at her while commenting making Anna blush.
"I never said we aren't a good pair, but I just know that we aren't meant to be together"
"Anna, I will try my best to make you mine someday" Xian winks at her again.
"Let's see, it's in future and I prefer living in present"
Juliette walks back along with Mario holding all the dishes and places then one after other.
"Enjoy your meal and let me know once you need refilling your drinks"
"Sure, thank you Juliette" Anna replies back while sipping her wine.
"Yum, the burger tastes so good" Xian speaks out after grabbing the first bite of his burger.
"See…I told you, he prepares the best burgers in town"
The following dinner goes well with Xian trying to speak out some pickup lines and Anna getting more comfortable with him. She was not sure whether it was the wine effect or Xian's company was so good for her to start falling for him again.
"Uncle Mario, check please" Anna calls out Mario after finishing the dinner.
Juliette returns with the check and Xian insists on paying for the same. After completing everything both gets up and greets Mario and Juliette for the day. Xian praises them for the burger and other dishes promising to visit back.
Anna finds herself feeling a bit tipsy because of the wine in her body, seeing Anna fumbling with her steps Xian holds her from her waist.
She looks up at him the moment she realizes a strong grip around her waist.
"You are drunk my lady, let me drive" Xian walks Anna to the car and make her sit on the passenger while he picks up the driver seat. Anna stares at Xian as he tugs her seat belt before doing the same for himself. After getting settled he starts the ride. Xian switch on the music and the first song plays up matches their current situation. Anna turns up to Xian who is peacefully driving and she smiles as the music starts for I know you love me by Justin Beiber. And she starts singing along making Xian to smile this time. He never heard her singing but listening her soft husky voice made his little brother jerk up from his pant making a small tent down there. Anna closes her eyes and keeps singing the song. Xian looks up at her as the car stops at one of the signal, his eyes getting their way from her head to eyes to nose to her moving lips. He bits his lower lip to control his feelings and licks his lower lips again before turning his head back to road. He accelerates the car once the signal turns green and within no time they are in front of their house. Xian gets down from the car and knocks at Anna's window diverting her attention to him.
"We are here, come let's go in" Xian speaks in soft voice.
Anna comes out of her thoughts and realizes that the music has stopped and she has sung all the way until Xian knocked on the side. She stares Xian who is leaning at her side, she walks out of the car, and the cool breeze hits her bare skin making her shiver. She closes the car door and turns back to Xian, who is still waiting for her to hold his hand which he has stretched out to help her. She smiles while grabbing his hand. Xian stares back at her, the moonlight making her look sexier with few of her short hairs landing on her face due to wind. He stretches out his other hand and slowly moves the hair strands to back of her ears making Anna close her eyes and bend on the side his hand touches her ears leaving a small moan out.
"Anna you are making it difficult for me, I can't hold back myself" Xian whispers in her eyes.
Anna giggles and bits her lower lip softly making Xian to moan this time. "Then who is asking you to hold back". Anna was not able to hold herself back and deny any longer that she needs him, that he is the one she has waited for and even after knowing that she has to distant herself from him she unknowing have fallen more for him.
Xian pulls her in his arms and places his lips on her after hearing her words making Anna to open her eyes in shock with the sudden jerk in her body. But as his cold lips touches her she opens her mouth surrounding herself and giving a way for Xian to take over.
"Thank you for accepting me baby, you won't ever regret it" Xian whisper while breaking his kiss and carries her in bridal way while walking inside the house.
