Chapter 42: My Wait Was Worthy...
Reo walks backstage still trying to calm himself "Wow… She is looking exactly like an Angel from Heaven. I must thank Sasha for arranging such perfect costume and makeup for her. Oh my god, please help me. I am surely going to get a panic attack". Reo speaks to himself while smiling widely and walking towards the changing room.
"What are you thinking and why are you smiling like an Idiot", Sasha stops Reo with a confuse look on her face.
"Thank you so much Sasha". Saying this Reo suddenly hugs her.
"Whoa, Your welcome but why are you thanking me in first place and what's with this hug suddenly".
Sasha looks more confuse with his actions.
"Ufff". Reo leaves out a small breath and hold himself back before replying. "For making her look exactly like an Angel. Now I know why you were hesitating to share a pic earlier. You wanted me to see her beauty directly. Trust me my wait was worthy. She is looking damn beautiful". Reo gets excited and hugs Sasha back while speaking the last line.
Sasha laughs loudly and hugs him back "See I told you, now change fast and get back on stage. Don't keep your Angel waiting". Sasha push him away from the hug and gestures him to get change.
"You both seem to be so happy. I bet she is looking like a doll". Sasha jumps after listening the sudden voice from behind.
"Oh my god, you finally made it". Sasha replies and hugs the person in excitement.
"C'mon I was invited by you and Reo and here to support Alexa. How on earth were you thinking I am going to miss this opportunity? By the way did the surprise work on Reo? What was his reaction?" Chen asks curiously.
"Hahaha, you must have seen him on the stage, he was completely shocked and stood in the same position for a minute until Alexa went and shook him off. And he was walking in his own thoughts whole time after coming backstage. You must have seen him hugging and thanking me all the way down here". Sasha replies while laughing loudly.
"I bet he did all this. He hardly shows his emotions out and if he is putting down his guard that means Alexa means a lot to him.
"C'mon, let go out in the audience. I don't want to miss Alexa's performance. There is another duet pending." Sasha holds Chen's hand and drags him out along with her.
Reo on the other hand gets ready and walks back on the stage to start for the next performance.
Alexa completes her solo performance and gets joined by her team. Yie walks towards her and whisper in her ears "You look awesome Angel. Let's make this show a big hit". Alexa smiles and nods at his comment and take her position back with Reo.
Yie joins Susan for the duet.
Light goes off as planned and everyone takes their respective places. Complete auditorium starts chanting Reo's name followed by Alexa's band name "U&I". Music starts up and the lights falls on both the couples on stage. Reo all dressed up like a prince in white tuxedo holding his princess Alexa by her waist with her looking directly into his eyes with her hands holding back of his neck. While Yie and Susan holding each other in a hug with Susan's head and right hand on Yie's chest and Yie's chin on Susan's head.
Reo sets his mic and starts humming along with the music and signals Alexa through his eyes to change the pose and start her line. Alexa picks up the clue and starts signing while dancing along with Reo. Reo and Alexa stop again in the same pose and now Yie and Susan picks up there lines.
The performance ends with a dance and singing battle between both the couples on stage. All the artists bow down to thank the audience. Back stage dancers walks down leaving the two couples and U&I band members on stage.
Reo switch on his mic and thank the audience and pass the opportunity to Alexa and her team.
"It was a wonderful and most memorable night for me and my team. It's been an honor to work with such a talented start Reo and Sasha who is an extremely wonderful person and choreographer.
Thank you Sasha, without you it must not have been possible and each and every person in your team who has helped us with the clothes, makeup and everything. Please join us on the stage. And lastly thank you to all the audience to accept this collaboration and give us the same love. We are a small band trying to get recognize and your love will help us to achieve our goals. Hope we will receive the same support in future and wish to perform again for you all". Saying this Alexa and her team bow down again.
Sasha walks up and Reo introduces her to the crowd again. Sasha hugs Alexa tightly who was standing with tears in her eyes. "It's a dream come true situation for me". Alexa whispers in Sasha's ears while hugging back.
"Shh…I know dear and there are more to come." Sasha replies back while gripping her tightly.
