Chapter 6: Get out of my Face
Halfway into the journey and after the shock of Vicar having possesing a World Law, it was deadly silent, Ethan still had the face of anger, Marcus was snoring, and Ava was reading a book. Vicar couldn't hold his curiosity and asked Ava "Ava, why are you here, as the Royal Clan you obviously have your own Airship and you would get a way better treatment than this?"
Ava looked up from her book, Ethan also looked at Ava, obviously interested in the answer, and Marcus was still sleeping.
Ava's lips curved up a little as she asked "Do you think living in the Royal Clan is fun, they always hold me back because I am the Young Lady of the clan, I am not even allowed to go near a boy my age due to them being afraid that I gain more social connections. I escaped the clan with my grandfather's help who experienced the same thing as a boy and didn't want the same thing to happen to me."
Vicar and Ethan looked at each other and Ethan said: "So living in the Royal Clan is such a pain is it, why didn't you ask for resources from your clan, then you could have increased your Mage rank and gone against you clan directly an how does going to the Royal Academy change anything when your clan is so powerful and can influence the Academy to capture you."
Ava scoffed "Don't you think I tried that, the King only allowed me to grow to a certain level and kept me at 20,000 Mana Point making sure I didn't cultivate anymore. He was afraid that I could gain more power and help my father to overthrow him. Even though my father has been faithful and never had thoughts for the throne. I'm guessing the reason they allowed me to reach 20,000 Mana Points is that the king wants me to be a pawn for marriage alliance later, since even the wife has to have some talent. Although the Academy is called the Royal Academy, our clan has very little ties to it except most of our family members go there. The academy has only allowed very few Astley Clan Members to become elders of the academy to make sure the Astley Clan doesn't have to much influence in the academy."
After she said this silence reappeared again, the ship was about 1 hour away from the Academy when Vicar spoke to the system "System, how is this ship flying, it's not like my old world where we mastered physics and mechanics to build planes?"
The system answered "In this world, there are people called Spirit Masters, Spirit Masters control something called Spirit Energy. Spirit Energy is a form of energy like Mana and Battle Power except instead of using it for battle, it is more of a support and structural energy. Spirit Masters use the Spirit Energy to build Arrays which are used for many things. Arrays can be made for Shield and Attacking Formations, Flying Formations, Energy Attraction Formation, Energy Suppressing Formation, and many more. Spirit Masters have different colors representing their level. Grey is the lowest, White, yellow, red, green, blue, purple, and gold. After gold, there is Scarlet Gold and Saint Level but that is for very special people. If we can find a source to learn about Spirit Energy I think I can give you the ability to get at least Gold to Saint Level Spirit Energy based on your luck."
Vicar was very excited and seeing Marcus woke up and was staring out the window asked: "Mister Marcus, are there any Spirit Masters or book about Spirit Energy at the academy?"
Marcus gave a confused expression "Yes, there is a guest elder who has Green Level Spirit Energy, but honestly you shouldn't try to be a Spirit Master, you should stick to fighting due to your talent being a Battle Mage, doing too many things at once is what ruins geniuses."
Ethan to the side sneered "You dare try to do too many things at once, do you think your a great talent, later when you reach your bottleneck I will blast past you with my Bloodline and show you whose better."
Marcus and Ava snickered to themselves and Ethan with a blushing face asked: "Why are you laughing my bloodline is way better than a person who tries to be both a Mage and Knight, my parents told me that?"
Marcus answered while Ava tried stifling her laughter "Student Ethan, Battle Mages are powerful due to the fact that they don't have bottlenecks holding them back, due to Battle Mages having both Battle Power and Mana the 2 energies can work together to break past each level. Bloodlines have a similar effect, being able to break through each level but the problem is later as you reach higher levels and you can't store more Mana in the body. The reason people have bottlenecks as mages are that their outside bodies are too weak, and the reason Knights get bottlenecks is that their insides are too weak. Battle Mages can cultivate both the inside and outside of their bodies meaning they wouldn't face bottlenecks until the highest levels."
Ethan realizing his mistake blushed, even more, causing everyone to laugh, Ethan was about to blow when a voice was heard throughout the ship "We are inbound to the Cloud Reach Royal Academy, everyone please take a seat and prepare for landing."
After another 5mins the Airship landed on a giant plot of land next to the academy and everyone got off. The backdoors opened and Marcus, Ethan, and Vicar was about the get off when Ava called out "Vicar, wait a minute I want to ask you something, privately."
Marcus didn't know what she wanted to ask but he still left the ship, Ethan looked at Vicar with a face of jealousy before snorting and running to chase Marcus. Vicar didn't know what she was going to ask, he walked to her and asked: "What do you want?"
Ava wasn't really offended by his tone of words and said directly with a more arrogant voice than him "Be my bodyguard and you might gain my favor."
Hearing this without a second thought Vicar turned around and walked out of the doorway. Right as he stepped out he said with a cold voice "If you try this again, I will kill you." This scene caused her to be shocked, she actually activated a skill from her bloodline which only females had, it was called the Slave Inducer, which caused males to fall in love with her and get branded as her slave, she was planning on making the powerful Battle Mage her bodyguard but didn't expect it to fail this badly.
She blushed and ran out of the door trying to catch up with Vicar. She saw his body in the distance and ran as fast as she could to catch up to him, she even used one of her Bloodline skills, Ice Slither Movement Skill and barely caught up. She tried to explain herself "I'm sorry, I was testing if you had a strong will that's all, I truly want your help, you will gain great rewards for helping me."
She desperately wanted his help, she lacked allies right now and with a Battle Mages help she could fight against her family, but the problem was that she just lost her chances with Vicar. Vicar looked at Ava with a cold face, with no sympathy "You are an idiot, no one would help a b*tch like you unless they are a pervert like you. Get out of my face."
Vicar was seriously pissed, this arrogant girl was still trying to get him to help her after she tried to cast a slave spell on him. He has read many novels, and he was really pissed when girls acted like Ava did and the MC still helped her, but now he wouldn't follow that stereotype of an MC being a Sage Charity Worker handing out his treasures, money, and time like it was a couple of cents and a blanket.
He walked off faster leaving her in the dust, causing her to tear up, hoping he would get influenced by emotions, but what she saw as he turned around and gave a chilling sneer then started walking faster. Ava felt a chill as she felt something implanted in her mana stream, although she couldn't feel her mana affected negatively she felt as if someone was watching her at all times.
Due to Vicar's high amount of mana, he sent a sliver of his mana into Ava allowing him to watch her and kill her with just a thought. He thought he could play around with Ava later, due to the fact she was from the Astley Royal Clan.
Ava didn't know right now, but later she will know that she has made a huge mistake and there is no going back.
