Leo knows that Cera will be fine because over the weekend MinYue made an appointment with him, at first he thought it was a business meeting but to his surprise MinYue ask Leo if he would have his permission to date his daughter. At first Leo was utterly shocked at the question because he was secretly in an agreement with Ming-Fa to try to get the two kids to like one another, but now MinYue had personally come to him to seek permission to pursue his daughter.
Leo tried to play it off as if he was thinking about it, so MinYue added more to his question, "Sir, I am in love with your daughter and I will do everything in my power to make sure she is happy and safe. I am not sure if she will say yes, but I still feel that it is appropriate for me to ask for your blessing."
"As long as you can remember what you just said, then you have my blessing."
Leo couldn't wait to call Ming-Fa and tell him the good news, so he made up a small lie and told MinYue that he had another meeting shortly after. Well it technically wasn't a lie because he knew that Ming-Fa would want to go out and celebrate.
"Hey Leo, I was thinking about the first time we met. It was about this time 21 years ago."
"Yeah? Has it been that long."
"We met the same year Jamie gave birth to Cera."
"That's right, I sold you that property that the bank repossessed."
"You mean the property that you stole from the Rong family because you wanted payback for your woman?"
Leo laughed slightly before raising his hand to the back of his head, "Did I do that?"
Ming-Fa just smiled before lifting his glass to his mouth to take a sip of his favorite drink, "If it was me, I would of made the whole family pay for their crimes."
Leo eye's raised, "I just wanted Roy to suffer."
"That he did, I haven't seen or heard of him in years."
"Apparently his father shipped him off to the military to straighten him out."
"Hmm."
"I wonder if it changed him?"
"Who knows, now enough of talking about that scumbag! Let's celebrate! Our kids are going to get married!"
"Cheers!" Leo raised his glass and clinked it against Ming-Fa's glass.
Coming back from his little flash back from this last weekend he tightened his arms around his wife to give her reassurance.
"Leo..."
"Yes my love?"
"Thank you."
"No problem." he kissed her forehead, her cheek, and then her lips, "Now let's get to bed." he stood up to make his way to the bed.
Jamie reached out to grab his hand, "I am thankful for being able to have a man like you by my side."
Leo turned around and smiled, "And I am thankful to have someone as beautiful, smart, and caring as you by my side." He pulled her up and into his arms to hold her. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Leo let out a yawn. Jamie laughed, "Come on old man, let's go to bed."
"Old Man!?"
This time Jamie didn't answer him, but ran towards the closet to change into her pajamas. Leo laughed at her scurrying away from him, before heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
