Chapter 22: Ghost Mansion

Solo just got out from Meia's house after she gave him his reward, even if forced.
Solo: 'I need to defend myself from those puppy eyes…'
He sighed and just walked away for some seconds before he met with Luka and Alice again.
Luka: Hey Solo, how did it go?
Solo: ...It was good… Now where do we go?
Luka: Let's head to the haunted mansion to the north.
Solo: Haunted mansion?
Luka: Oh yeah, you weren't there, it seems that at north of San Ilia there is an haunted mansion, full of ghosts.
Solo: Ohhhh? Interesting… Let's go.
Alice was glaring the two of them while they ignored her.
[night]
They arrived at the mansion, under the dark sky, making everything even more creepy.
Luka: ...It's bigger than I thought.
Solo: you didn't see yet Las Noches…
While Solo and Luka were observing the mansion, Alice had a calm expression, but she was trembling with fear inside herself.
Luka: Hey, look… There's a graveyard over there.
Luka was talking to both Alice and Solo
Alice: I already saw that! But even then, I didn't mention it! Why are you pointing out obvious things?! You don't understand a woman's heart at all!
Solo: Jeez, they weren't joking, this place is full of dead people….
Alice froze in the spot after hearing him, since his words meant that the place was full of ghosts, and her entire body trembled.
Solo: 'Maybe I exaggerated... ' Well, I am going to clean everything… How it was… Oh right.
Alice and Luka were curious from what he meant until he heavily exhaled, and then inhaled with as much strength he could.
Meanwhile the entire mansion was glowing, and a wave of reiryoku coming from it entered his mouth, as if he was sucking the life out of something.
Luka and Alice were seeing everything and heard the many screams of agony coming from those particles of reiryoku, until they disappeared and Solo stopped using Gonzui.
Solo: *Cough* *Cough* Ahem, ok, the ghosts disappeared, and it seems that some people down there escaped my Gonzui…
Luka: What did you do?
Solo: I eaten the souls of everything that couldn't resist my Gonzui in the mansion, but some still saved themselves.
Alice: So… Does it mean that there aren't ghost anymore?
Solo: Depends on what are the survivors in the mansion, let's go.
Luka and Alice followed him inside the mansion, when they reached the main hall, Solo looked at the floor under him.
Luka: What is happening?
Solo: Prepare yourselves.
Luka and Alice were clueless about what he meant until he raised his left foot and slammed it in the floor with enough strength to destroy it.
Solo, Alice and Luka were falling in a tunnel that was under the floor.
Some dozen of seconds later, they reached another floor, Solo and Alice fell safely, while Luka fell on Alice's arms like a princess, then Alice threw him in the ground.
Luka: Ouch!
Then he got up again and looked around.
Solo, Alice and Luka seen many bloody corpses around the place.
Solo: They were alive some moments ago…
Alice: Zombies?
Solo: It seems so… Tsk…
Solo was disgusted from the situation he is right now, he didn't liked this genre of things, because someone trespassed the boundaries of life and death.
An arrancar is a fusion between hollows and shinigami, so he can be considered responsible of dead people in this world since he is the only one that can manage it, and he was conscious about it and willing to be responsible of such things.
?: Ah! My experiments!
Solo turned his head and found a strange girl.
Solo: Who are you?
?: Wawawa!?
Then she runned away, while Solo started to walk towards her, slowly, but he knew where she was going thanks to his pesquisa, meanwhile Luka and Alice followed him.
Some time later they reached the main hall, and found the girl standing next to a huge zombie.
?: What's with you? Why are you going crazy in my laboratory?
Solo: Explain what in Soul King's name are you doing, right now.
Chrome: My name is Chrome. I'm a necromancer. This place was an execution ground, then a graveyard. Since there are so many corpses, it's great for my experiments. This girl, the daughter of the rich guy who owned this place, is a particularly good specimen.
I want to reanimate the dead into something even more powerful than normal monsters!
Solo: *Sigh* I have two things to say… First of all, I'll stop you right now and free the girl from the corpse… Even if she will end in my stomach… I don't like people trying to revive the dead...
Chrome: ...Eh? You can eat souls…?
Solo: Second thing, you are completely doing it wrong… You shouldn't use bodies because it's really bad and ineffective at the same time… You should use the spirits, they have a semi ethereal body, can be strengthened, and it doesn't smell like shit.
Luka/Alice: Eh? Why are you helping her?
Chrome: Oh! I got it! Thank you sir… But it will be impossible beating me. Go, Frederika!
Then the giant zombie started to move towards Solo, slowly. But Solo just walked towards Frederika and put an hand in her stomach, Luka, Alice and Chrome were curious about what he was doing, until they seen him grabbing something and pulling it out.
The zombie fell in the ground, lifelessly, while in Solo's hand a beautiful girl was there, trying to escape.
Frederika: Let me go!
Solo: If I was 100% a Shinigami, I would just exorcize you… But…! I'm not, I am mainly an hollow so… Get in my stomach!
Then Solo started to violently eat Frederika in front of everyone, making them disgusted from the scene, she didn't left even a drop of blood, instead she released reiryoku, which ended in Solo's mouth.
[2 minutes later]
Solo just finished eating Frederika, while Luka was puking somewhere, Alice fainted while standing in her tail, and Chrome was trembling.
Chrome: I seen you eating other ghosts in another method… Why didn't you use it now..?
Solo: I can use Gonzui only on really weak souls, this one was a bit strong so I needed to use the traditional method.
Chrome was full of fear and runned away, while Solo extended his arm and said.
Solo: Bala.
From his fist, a bala got out at a really fast speed and pulverized Chrome's head.
Solo: Well, the job is done…
He turned towards his companions and just noticed their conditions, Luka was in a corner while puking and Alice was frozen in her place, her eyes were empty, meaning that she was unconscious.
Solo: *Sigh* 'What a group of pussies… One can't stand violence while the other is strong and fears the ghosts....'
