Chapter 65: The start of something greater
Solo and the defeated Heavenly Knights were watching from a side, while Luka and Granberia faced each other, and hand their hands on the handle of their weapons, some time ago, Granberia bought another sword from a friend of hers, which was as strong as the previous one.
Luka: Just you…
Granberia: Yes, I'm last. Past here is the Monster Lord's throne… As you know, Alipheese is not there. Thus… Your purpose will be achieved if you defeat me.
Luka: 'There is nothing to do really… Just asking help for coexistence which can be done anywhere, but what did Solo mean with 'the start of something greater'? Yes… This is the last battle!
Granberia/Luka: We will see, who is the strongest!
Then Granberia and Luka, who summoned his spirits, rushed head on at each other and their swords connected, making a crater under their feet, they would disappear from normal eyes, but the current spectators are able to see them clearly.
They would clash near a pillar, in the center of the room, against a wall, the wind was continuing to blow at each of their attacks, while Luka would use Solo's Zanjutsu and sometimes Martial Arts, Granberia would counter him with her Cursed Sword Art.
Some minutes later, they started to accumulate cuts in their bodies, Luka and Granberia then got to the center of the arena and started to use their skills, Granberia would use Vaporizing Rebellion Sword while Luka would use a weaker Hokudo, which had only 10 slashes instead of the original 1000+.
They were at a stalemate, no one could really hurt the other, until Luka tried to imitate another attack of Solo, he let fall his Angel Halo, distracting Granberia, while both of his hands turned in fists and slammed in Granberia, she stumbled of some steps and spit blood.
Luka: Sokotsu…
It was still an imperfect technique, really far from perfect, but it still worked, and managed to greatly damage Granberia's armor.
Then Luka grabbed again Angel Halo and used once again Hokudo, and with the 10 slashes, he was able to heavily injure Granberia, who kneeled.
Luka: At last, all four…
Then Luka fell in the ground due to being too tired.
Luka: ouch…
Solo slowly walked towards Luka while smiling.
Solo: Time to rest, little hero, but…
Then an incredible magical power flooded the room. Everyone except Luka who couldn't move and Solo, turned to the large door leading to the throne room.
Solo: ...Your journey is far from ended… Meditate, recover your stamina, and go inside the room, I'll wait you there…
Luka took deep breaths and meditated, while Solo vanished in a sonido.

Luka recovered completely, and entered the throne room, and found Alice waiting there.
Alice: ...Hero. Well done making it here. I am the Monster Lord, Alipheese the 16th.
Alice was talking as if Luka and her met for the first time.
Luka: H...Hey! Quit joking around, Alice!
Alice glared at him with cold eyes, while Luka was confused.
Alice: Now then… You came to defeat me, didn't you? Take up your sword, Hero! Burn the power of the Monster Lord into your eyes!
Luka didn't knew what was happening, and just noticed Solo at a corner watching everything with a serious face.
Alice: Luka… You're a Hero, right? If a Hero comes to the Monster Lord's Castle… There is only one thing they can do.
Luka: Alice… W...Why?
Alice didn't answered and attacked Luka with her magic, while he dodged.
Luka: 'Tsk… I'll need to slam it in her that this idea is really stupid…'
Then Luka and Alice started to fight against each other, Luka summoned his spirits while Alice unleashed the might of her magic.
Alice easily overpowered Luka, but he continued to dodge and slashed at Alice, who used her magic to block his hit, even if her magic is strong, her physical prowess if far weaker than her magical powers, and can be easily injured if she doesn't block..
Solo continued to watch with a frown, This was a battle of endurance, if Alice doesn't beat Luka within a certain time, she can't cast magic anymore, and she will be defeated.
But, she was already showing signs of being tired under Luka's slashes, Solo already knew about everything, Alice's thoughts, Luka's emotions, the Heavenly Knights' challenges, and about what would come after.
He let Luka and Alice fighting each other so both of them would get more experience in fighting someone, and now it should be stopped before something bad happens.
Solo: Stop.
Then Solo vanished with a sonido and appeared between Alice's magic 'Monster Lord's Cruelty', and Luka's Ryodan, blocking both the attacks with his hierro, he had a bit of difficulty to nullify the attacks but he could still do it.
And in one hand there was Luka's blade, while in his other hand there was Alice's magic, which slowly dissolved.
Alice: Solo… Why did you do it?
Solo: Because you are a fucking retard, Alice.
Alice flinched at his words, it was the first time Solo really insulted her, and he continued to talk.
Solo: You think that you are able to stop everything with your death? Don't make me laugh, there are only 2 outcomes from this decision, Humans slaughtering the monsters, or a ruthless Monster Lord taking control.
Alice thought about it and realized it was a really stupid decision, while Luka sighed in relief.
Alice: Luka… Solo... Sorry…
Luka: It was nothing, you just thought about a solution, even if was completely wrong…
Solo: Finally you stopped being a retard.
Alice: Hey!!
Alice playfully punched Solo, and the atmosphere turned normal, as if nothing happened. Then Solo said.
Solo: Well then… Guys, don't wor-
He was interrupted when a ray of light pierced his chest, followed from several others, Luka and Alice were shocked while Solo's expression didn't changed, even if he tried to dodge, those rays were too fast.
He still had a calm expression, but his body said otherwise, the rays of light were spears made of magic, which were impaled in his body, he started to kneel in the ground, and a magical circle appeared under him.
Luka/Alice: SOLO!!!
Solo raised his arms and shot out two balas towards them, making them fly towards the walls, then from the door, the 4 Heavenly Knights and Minagi entered and were surprised from the situation they were seeing.
There was Solo, in his knees, with a calm expression, but his body was impaled with several light spears and under him there was a magical circle that was getting more brighter.
Solo: Don't… Worry… About me…
Then Solo vanished from the room, leaving everyone with a shocked expression, except for Erubetie.
Alice and Luka recovered from the bala and looked around the room, but didn't found Solo, there were only the 4 Heavenly Knights and Minagi at the door.
Minagi: 'Is… Is that… That 'Seal'?!'
Alice: W-what happened…? Where is Solo?!
?: Oh brave Luka… You made your most foolish decision…
The room was suddenly filled with a holy aura, and an heavenly figure descended down, it was Illias, who had an smirk in her face.
Illias: So you decided to betray me… And side with the Monster Lord… Then I will make sure you will regret about your decisions, like the sinner Solo…
Alice: WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!
Alice yelled with rage at Illias, while Luka's thoughts were somewhere else.
Luka: 'He… He knew everything… Solo knew Illias would descend… This is the start of something greater… Just like he said.'
Illias: You want to know? That Arrancar is sealed elsewhere, where you all can't go, no matter what… But don't worry, he will have a companion there…
Minagi: 'Someone else with him? ...No… If she's there… Solo will die!'
[Meanwhile]
Solo opened his eyes, and found himself floating in the dark, he didn't knew where he was, even if he knew the future to a certain point, he didn't knew what would precisely happen, he knew only that Illias would descend right now in the Monster Lord's castle.
Then Solo used pesquisa, his eyes widened, and turned in a certain direction.
?: Oh? You can see me? Interesting… I never seen a monster with such dark presence… But you are still weaker than me…
Solo: W-Who… Who are you?
?: Me? I have many names… But you can use this one…
Then the mysterious figure in the darkness released all of her might, which made Solo kneel and take deep breaths, this was the same presence Solo sensed when he entered Hellgondo.
?: I am Alipheese Fateburn 1st… But you can call me Alice...
