Chapter 3: Gods?

JACKET'S POV OF THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER

I walk into class to find that girl on the desk of the spot she was in yesterday. The girl's got guts, showing up after what she did, and still in that spot. I smirk at her before snapping at that coward who teaches... Whatever. I sit down behind the teacher's desk, my feet up on his papers.

I think about that damn girl all class, sometimes looking at her, searching for any clues as to why she did that. I guess I'll just need to find out the hard way.

Finally, this damned class ends. I wait for Sweetheart to leave class before following. I walk up and pin her to her locker, cornering her. She stares at my jacket's sleeve, and I can see the longing in her eyes. She likes leather jackets. I smirk to myself.

"That's quite the stunt you pulled yesterday." I begin. "Makin' me look like a fool in front'a' the class." She looks up, glaring daggers into my eyes. I swear, her eyes might rival mine when she's mad.

"Just spreadin' the truth." She retorts. Damn this girl.

"How about we go for a ride?" I let out in a growl, I need to figure her out. She's obviously not a normal girl, but I need to prove that she is or else it all falls apart.

"No thank you, I'd like to learn today." She says politely, and I get closer. I need to break her down, get her to spill everything. Prove she's just an attention-seeking nobody like the rest. She doesn't falter.

"It'll be educational. I promise." I smirk at that last sentence. She'll learn her place, and me? I'll learn that she's no threat. She coughs a bit, and I back up. Not doing that would just be gross.

"No, I mean like, at the school." She says, speaking like I don't get it. Who does she think she is?! Talking to me like a toddler?!

"Too bad. We're going for a ride." I need to get her in that damn car.

"No, we're not." he takes a step to the side and goes running, but I slam my right hand next to her head. She's trapped on all sides now.

"That's not an option," I growl.

"Listen, Fido, I'm not going anywhere with you." Fido? I'm taken aback a bit.

"Fido?" I ask, more myself than her. I laugh a little, is that the best she can come up with?

"Yeah, cause you just keep growling like a dog." Maybe she's smarter than I thought. I grab her waist and throw her over my shoulder. I walk out of the school as she yells. She can do that all she wants, no one's going to help her.

There's a blunt force to my face and I accidentally drop her. She goes running and I watch as she punches two of my inner-gang, knocking them out.

I run after her and restrain her, pinning her arms down. She squirms a lot, but it stops once she sees my car.

"Oh, gods..." She mutters. Gods? Who is she? Everybody 'round here is Christian.

"You like it?"

"Like it? It's the car of my dreams." I wonder if she even knows what it is. Or if she just likes its looks.

"You look the type," I say, and she does, especially in all that black. I put her down, and as I expected, she doesn't run off. She looks back at me with a questioning look as if saying 'why'd you do that?'. Then she bolts for the driver's seat.

In a few strides, I have back off the ground again, restrained. I bring her to the passenger's seat and put her in.

"No, you're not driving my Baby, Sweetheart," I say. No one drives this car but me. Ever.

"You Dean Winchester or somethin'?" She asks. So she does know.

"I'm somethin' worse, Sweetheart." She opens her mouth to question me, but I slam the door, walking around to the driver's seat and getting in. Surprisingly enough, she doesn't question me once I'm in.

I start up the car, revving the engine and I hear her sigh a little out of bliss. I speed us out of the parking lot and to the docks. For most of the ride she has her window down, arm out the window.

She seems a little disappointed once the car stops, bringing her arm back in.

"You seem awful happy," I say.

"Hell yeah, I am! This a dream come true!" And I can see that she means it.

"How so?" I ask, slowly putting my arm around her shoulders. Her braid is surprisingly smooth. And it's silky.

"This car is beautiful, and seeing one in real life! Oh, gods..." There she goes with the gods again, what's her religion? Most people around here are Christians. "And we were speeding! I never get over that thrill." So she speeds a lot, wasn't expecting that.

"Or maybe, it was me?" I smirk, I've got her where I want her, and she's about to confess. About to prove that she's just like-

"You wish." She dumps my arm back on me. There goes normal. Unless, yeah, some of the girls around her play hard to get, too.

"C'mon, Sweetheart, I saw you checking me out," I state. Throughout the ride, she looked over at me a couple times, and she did the same during class.

"You're not the hottest guy I've seen." Excuse me, Bitch, I'm hotter than the sun! "But, I love the jacket." I already knew that.

"I figured you would. You know what it means?" I ask. She knows this one, she has to. Everyone does.

"No," I'm speechless for a second. I've never had to tell anyone this.

"It means I'm in a gang. And I'm its leader." Her eyes widen and she opens the car door.

"Oh, gods..." She closes the door and starts walking away, saying that over and over again frantically. I start up the car again and turn around, pulling up to her and driving beside her.

"C'mon, Sweetheart, you can't walk to school, it's too far." I need her back in this car.

"I don't have to." She responds, and I'm intrigued. Then where's she need to go?

"Fine, I'll search the ditches for you later." I drive off, but really, I'm staking out, she needs to come this way. It's the only way, from there, I'll follow her. Where she's going has got me all weird. It's like I absolutely need to know.
