[Host, welcome to the Apocalypse Countdown System. Where the Host can earn and exchange points and zombie crystals. Whatever Host needs, System has!] A robotic voice sounded in her mind.
"System?" Hua Meili asked carefully as her excitement when hearing the Systems voice burst out like an erupting volcano.
She inhaled and exhaled fervently as if she were hyperventilating from meeting her favorite idol!
[Yes, Host?]
"Woah! I really have a System! My gosh, my golden finger!!"
Hua Meili screamed her lungs out happily when she heard the System's voice.
"I'm really not hallucinating! It's a System!"
She can't help but let out a squeal of happiness knowing that she had a cheat!
"System what can you do?" Hua Meili asked the System.
[System can exchange the points that Host earns from killing a Mutant.] The System monotonously replied.
[Host can add or either upgrade some of the Systems products depending on what Host deemed useful.]
[Zombie crystals can also be exchanged for points or either use for upgrades. The stronger the zombie the bigger the points that could be exchanged for the zombie crystals.]
[Host can open a Status Menu and Host was gifted an inventory which could store a thousand of the same kind of products of food or things Host wants to store and the expiration date would be a year from now.]
[If Host wants to increase the storage and expiration date, Host should upgrade. Inventory was given as a freebie to Host since Host is Systems' first customer.]
"Status Menu!" Hua Meili called out excitedly.
The moment she called out, a hologram appeared right in front of her very eyes.

Hua Meili's lips twitch seeing the glaring 30 points of HP she had on the screen.
She can understand the zero MP but her HP, does her System want her to die with just a single hit?

[Host, that is normal. It's because the body Host is currently occupying is as fragile as glass which is why you only had 30 as an HP.]
"The hell! So, you mean that I should just accept that I could die with just a single punch?" Hua Meili fumed.
How in the world did she get such a System? Is the world playing with her?
She just transmigrated and she found out that she could die with just a punch?
No! She does not want to die yet!
[Host, you are overreacting. Even us Systems have integrity.]
Hearing her System, Hua Meili was about to sigh in relief. But before she could do so it got stuck in her throat.

Hua Meili cursed.
"Is it too late to change System's?"
"So, what do you mean?"
Sitting on her bed, Hua Meili had finally calmed down.
Now that all is said and done, she could only continue on the road of no return as she inquired about her situation with this somehow "useless" System of hers.
[Host is Level 1, not phase 1 because the apocalypse has still not officially started yet and everything is still normal.]
"What do you mean, System?"
Hua Meili was puzzled about what the System is talking about. What is so different about Level 1 and Phase 1?
Thinking so hard stressed her so she could only ask the System directly.
Aren't the two the same?
[Host, Level 1 and Phase 1 are two different things. Level 1 is a level of an ordinary human and Phase 1 is the phase of an evolutionary human.]
"I don't get what you mean, System."
[Level 1 and Phase 1 are not the same. To become Phase 1, Host must first level up your Level 1. Level 1 is the Host path to become Phase 1.]
"Then how can I become a Phase 1?"
Hua Meili furrowed her brow deeper as she continues to listen to her System.
[Host just needed to level up to Level 10 and Host can then be called a Phase 1 evolutionary.]
"Why go all the trouble of Level 1 if I can just directly go to Phase 1? Is something wrong System?" Hua Meili raised an eyebrow.
Listening to her System talking, Hua Meili could somehow sense that something is wrong.
Don't look down on her, she might just be an ordinary student with a few dozen of black belter and academic awards, but she is not a fool!
She just transmigrated not retarded!
[Host, the body you transferred into cannot become an evolutionary human and was doomed to be a normal human and die somewhere unknown because of being an ordinary useless human.]

Although the System has a robotic voice, Hua Meili could hear in its tone that it's looking for praise.
"Well, you did a very good job. Very well done indeed, I just need to work hard to become an evolutionary." Hua Meili praised the System.
[Yes! The host should work very hard!] The System said in a robotic voice laced with happiness when it was praised.
Hua Meili can't help but tug a grin on the corner of her lips knowing that the System has its own consciousness.
Thinking that the System is not really just an AI that only follows a set of rules but has its own consciousness, Hua Meili found it easier to interact with it.
Though just a little bit.
"By the way System, how long before the Apocalypse?"
Thinking about the upcoming Apocalypse, Hua Meili could not help but frown.
Though she like the novel, she could not still help but worry about the future.
She might have a golden finger but it's still necessary to prepare and be on guard of what is ahead of her.
An Apocalypse themed world is not a joke, the world is not a joke!
Life is real, she is real and her life is on the line here! She can't just take everything here as a joke!
Since the world is coming to an end, world would change and twist turning everything in it twisted.
Even the human heart will become twisted with no more morality and humanity, only selfishness, greed and the seven sins of humans will remain.
The world will turn depraved and twisted!
With one little mistake and she could lose her life, Hua Meili unconsciously steeled her heart.
And since she knows that the world is ending, she had a little head start with the rest.
Now, what she needed to do is to start preparing for the upcoming apocalypse so she won't starve herself in the doomsday and would still have a full belly even if the whole world would starve.
