Chapter 5: Family
(Third person's POV)
It was spring when a couple decided to move to a new village, far from the town they used to live before. They separated themselves to the luxurious life in the town.
It was a small village, fields of wheat and corn were planted in there. Most people worked and lived as farmers, their spouses were gifted pots to plant herbs. Their lives are simple, content and happy.
The village was bountiful of crops, herbs and livestock.
On their first day, they were busy fixing the holes around thw house, then the creaking doors, the walls and floors of the house. And slowly they place the furniture in their new home. It was made of sturdy wood, there was also a well at the backyard. Though the house looks small, it was a big area where they could plant lots of crops that can be placed on pots.
By noon, some village women came to their house, they welcomed them. They gave the woman some pots.
"If you need more pots, come to my house by afternoon. I will teach you how to make one. It is a good opportunity since pots sell well to the town. My house was just south after three houses, starting here" the villager said
The woman smiled at them before responsing, "I am very thankful that we came here to start a new life. I will use these pots you gave me. I will make sure to visit your house to repay you"
The villager laughed and tapped her , "You don't need to repay me. This is a welcome gift for you, and you living here with your spouse is enough."
They continued chatting until the village winen bid farewell to her.
The next day, the wife cooked some meal. She wanted to give some of it to their neighbors, her husband tried asking some elders to teach him how to be a farmer, "Are yous sure you wanted to be a farmer, lad?"
"I am very sure, sir."
The man in his thirties taught the husband how to become a farmer. It was never easy but he was very obedient and diligent that months later, he became one of the best farmer in the village.
It took them a while before they made friends there. Almost everyone in the village were their friends. It was a small community of two thousand.
A year and two months after, the couple receive a beautiful blessing. His wife was pregnant for three weeks now and as soon as he knew it, he started working harder to earn more. He has to prepare for the upcoming new member of the family.
The woman loved her husband dearly, so to help him she plants herbs and flowers on pots. Sometimes she went to Mrs. Xiao to create pots, and sell them to town. A courier gets the crafted pots, the packed seeds and some crops to sell them to the nearby town.
Few weeks after, the herbs started to flourish, weeks passed and they're ready to be harvested, the flowers are cut and are sorted out. She sells some and the others are for their daily meals. The flowers sell very well since other towns purchased their products.
The village was one of the best producers of wheat, corn, herbs and flowers.
These was her duties aside from tending the house and taking care of her husband and their unborn child.
She cooks great meals for them, some are given to their neighbors.
"Hey, Kaoru why don't you build a food cart? Your foods are great. You could use that talent to sell your meals in and out if the village.You can ask Jao to deliver your goods to the town" one if the villagers told her
"I will try my luck after I give birth to my baby" Kaoru, the spouse of Jin said
Months had past, she gave birth to a healthy boy; they named him Aiomi. Aiomi grew as a strong boy and he easily learned all farm duties.
Aiomi has this bright, blue eyes, like the ocean, a blond hair like his mom and a pinkish lips and cheeks. He helped his father in running the farm, the sun has burned his white complexion, yet everyone in the village was his friends.
Aiomi loves his parents, especially his mother and soon later befriended Yuki. Yuki was a one of the children in the village. She was white as snow and her red hair often gets a lot of attention. She used to be bullied but when Aiomi arrived it all stipoed. Some villagers told Kaoru that Aiomi and Yuki may possibly the best partners in future, but Kaoru didin't think of it yet.
Her usual respond to them was, "They're still young. Time will tell if they were for each other."
They were very close to each other, they seem like siblings. They enjoyed each other's company. They played in the clear waters of the stream, climb trees and eat together. In other words, they were inseparable.
Aiomi was five in age when he studied in the nearest school in the village. He was not that smart nor gifted. But he always have good grades like Yuki. He boasts his grades to his parents in a good way. They were happy that they had a son, and it's Aiomi.
Obedient
Hard working
Humble
And most of all he is Trustworthy.
At 5 1/2 years old, Aiomi received news that he will have a brother, so after classes he rushed home. He didn't even noticed that his mother was pregnant since her tummy wasn't that big.
He saw his mother, resting on a couch made of hay, she was carrying his brother, slowly he placed his things near the door and approached them. Aiomi was looking at his mom, his dad held Aiomi's shoulders and said, " Aiomi, this is your brother, Hikaru. We hope you teach him every good things you know." Aiomi nodded.
He stared at his brother. Aiomi has this smile on his face. No one noticed the little girl peeking at them, she was a bit jealous at his best friend. She was no other than Yuki.
Yuki whispered Aiomi's name and left.
A year has passed, Yuki's jealousy turned to fondness. After school she went home just to change clothes and rushed to Aiomi's place to see Hikaru.
She and Aiomi take turns at taking care of Hikaru. Aiomi's mom was there guiding. They noticed that Hikaru was fond of books. At 10 months old he started talking , At one year old he was able to converse with others, by 3 in age he can read and later at four he could write. All of these were taught by Aiomi, Yuki and their parents together. Hikaru was gifted and very smart.
Aiomi brings Hikaru when he and Yuki plays. Their parents both worked to give them a beautiful future.
Years had passed, Aiomi was 15 and was helping at the farm, Yuki was sent to the palace to be the queen's attendant, and Hikaru became a scholar in a near town. He visits his family rarely.
Their parents started livestock , their parents were very proud of them.
