Chapter 10: Away
(Aiomi's POV)
I heard that Catherine fell down and passed out, luckily Hikaru caught her before her head touched the ground. The physician told us that she will be fine, he told us that she must not overthink. She was only fatigued that's why she passed out. She was still unconscious. It's been thirty minutes. Hikaru was worried about Destiny and their baby.
He left the room and I followed him. As usual, he's near the pond, he usually does this when he has problems or thinking. He have overcomed his vice for their baby.
He was staring blankly into space, "Hikaru, she will be fine." I said comforting him. He looked at me, it seems that he cried a lot .His eyes were puffy. He looked at nowhere again, he was giving up.
"Why can't I love Destiny?" he started " I easily fell in love with Catherine, and Destiny entrusted her life and our child to her" he continued. I can feel his voice trembling.
I am listening and looking at him; his hair was untied, he wore his loose typical peach colored robe . He was troubled, however, he was trying not to cry, he was trying to be strong.
"Catherine is not your typical woman. She is bold and tough. She really looks like Destiny… When Destiny comes back we will have the answers to our questions" I said.
He just sighed and suddenly two warriors came. An archer and a swordsman. Hikaru can't face them well, so I talked to them, "What brings warriors here?" they bowed down on their knees and said, " I am Ren-Ai and this is Yui. We are both placed under strict and heavy training to protect the royal family"
Hikaru faced the pond again while I was observing them well, they looked veracious and obedient. Ren-Ai was blond , he has a clean cut hair, good looking and most of all he carries a long wide sword, while Yui was different. She was an archer. I sense authority on her, she's very intimidating. She has hazel green eyes and a coffee brown hair color, I find her pretty.
Archers and swordsmen in the kingdom were very precise and were very quick, if they really were trained well, they're the best.
They stood up and Yui asked, " Your highness, is there anything we can do to help?"
Hikaru faced them, his face was now serious, "Guard the queen and the unborn child with all your life." Then Hikaru left immediately. They were about to leave when I called Ren-Ai, "Ren-Ai , please look after him, if he does something strange or stupid tell me immediately."
I returned to Catherine's room with Yui, we heard a painful cry. We rushed in and the attending physician said that she will give birth any moment. I saw Yui standing by the door. I told her, "Yui find and tell Hikaru that Catherine/ Destiny will give birth any moment." She nodded then left. She must hurry.
"Her tummy seems bigger than expected, I suspect it's a twin" the physician said as he was preparing his tools.
I was waiting for them when she woke up. I see that she's in agony, "Aiomi, where's my husband?". At this point I am sure that she is Destiny, she has that sweet gentle and comforting voice unlike Catherine's.
I looked at her and answered, "Hikaru is on his way now. How do you feel?". Sweat started to form on her forehead. She held my sleeves tighter when Hikaru arrived. She loosen her grip on me and Hikaru held her hands. This is the first time I saw him emotional. She started to labor and the physician was there to help her.
Few hours later, Destiny gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. They similarly look like Hikaru. They new parents were very happy. The physician cleaned the twins and finished what has to be done.
Destiny and Hikaru were left in the room. The physician has left after prescribing some medicines and orders to the couple. Ren-Ai and Yui were outside guarding.
Me? I returned back home where my father is waiting. Everything was normal, the kingdom was very happy especially when they knew that the queen gave birth to twins and were doing fine. Villagers offered gifts to the family.
