Chapter 7: Exams

[If prey becomes preys, it becomes harder for the predator to prey on its prey. You should increase your own strength with them. The rewards will be given as per Quest Progress. No penalty for not finishing the Quest]
'Quest? Game? Interesting. Quests are almost always rewarding.'
"Why don't you meet me after the exams?"
"For?"
"It won't affect your studies."
"Is it necessary? I mean I don't usually talk to others."
"It's up to you."
"Okay, I'll let you know."
"No problem. Let's go for the exams. There are many who awaits me."
"Sure."

As soon as Raj entered the class, quietness reigned.
"Yo R. How's it going? Are you taking the exams?" Strum broke the quietness.
"Yup." He replied and went near his seat which was empty for days.
Everyone could feel the change in him.
"How did… Why are… Weren't you in a coma?" Cryo freaked out.
"Miracle."
"M… Mirac...cle?"
Just one word. Even the hidden boss, Qurik, was bewildered and felt a bit of fear from what Raj could feel.
'Whatever he is thinking. The end result would be his loss and my win. Business, I have to start a business from what I earned from the system.'
As he was thinking about what the system gave him after learning everything from the books of class 9th, Aryan came to him and gave a hug.
"Welcome back bruh."
"Haha, I wouldn't have lived if it wasn't for you, all guys."
"Have you studied? It would have been better if you take a leave."
"Don't worry. The results will show."
A sneer was heard from behind.
"You cannot sit for the exams. You have been absent."
"Qurik. No need to worry I'll talk to Miss Meena. I have ..."
And here comes the class teacher. But Qurik faced Raj and didn't see that.
"Miss Meena? What can she do? The exams don't work on her whims."
"... I didn't say that. What I was going to say is I have a note from principal stating I can sit for the exams."
"Principal? How can he..."
Before the conversation could finish, a bubbling Miss Meena appeared in front of Qurik.
"Miss… Meena?"
"What.. were… you… saying…?"
"Umm. Nothing. I thought Raj wouldn't be able to appear for the exams and was going to tell him to go home."
At this point, everyone in the class had one word in their mind other than his lackeys. Shameless.
"You said something along the lines that I don't have power?"
"No… I was swayed by the atmosphere."
"Miss Meena, this is the note from the principal.", Raj intervened their conversation.
"Okay. Go to your seats. Exams will start in 10 minutes."
Raj could see the anger in Miss Meena's eyes, and he also saw a sense of helplessness.
'Huh! Again, weakness. He even has the teachers feel helplessness.'
He went to his seat and the exams started.

"How was the exam fellas?" asked Calum.
They were having lunch.
"Good…?" Raj replied.
"Just good? Are you planning to go down in class rankings?"
"Haha."
"Well, it can be attributed to your 'accident'. What about Y'all?"
They all discussed the exam while Raj listened to them. As always, the first exam was the language exam. And Calum and Reyes were at the bottom. After lunch, they all went home to revise for other exams. During exams, students had to just come to give exam and nothing else.
Raj went home and started flipping class 10th textbooks.
It just so happened that a class 10th student also lived in his neighborhood and Raj borrowed the books in the name of curiosity.
He had accumulated around 3000 CC by reading the books he had.
'I have to go to the school library after it reopens after exams.'
And so Raj read all class 10th books before the end of exams.

"Raj, will you maintain your rank or fall down?" asked Calum. He was the only person who looked forward to the ranks, after the event of Raj.
"First."
"What first? Are you over your mind to take on Demi?"
"No comments."
"You are not a superstar. Come on man, just stop being enigmatic."
"Whatever you want to think. Yo guys. Let's meet at Flisk's cyber station. I have something to talk to you about."
Everyone agreed about it as he was just reminding everyone.
"Aryan, remember to get that thing and to reserve a room at the cyber station and..."
"Bro, everything is done. It is ready. Man, they say that it is amazing."
"Don't let the information leak."
"No need to worry about any info leak. Trust me."
"That's it then. See yall at 6 in the evening."
After he left, he went to Demi's home.
"Have you made your decision?"
"Umm… Yes."
"Good. See you at 6 today in the evening at Flisk's cyber station."
He left and went to his home and lied on his bed.
'Now what is left is to start the plan. Let's make this Meryar City, the eye of the incoming storm.'
