Chapter 28: The Redstone

Nangong Ah Jin and Meng Zhang were engaged in a fight and were really going for each other's neck.

Long Lei used her Archer to target Nangong Ah Jin while he was throwing up a kick at the azure dragon's back.

This was not a worthy the fight as Nangong Ah Jin was a good fighter and was dominating the fight.

Meng Zhang in front of him looked like a newborn chicken that could be easily smashed by using enough force.

During the past two years, Long Lei gradually practiced and improved her archery skills and buy now, it was quite impressive.

She has used the spirit water and sprinkled it on top of the arrow so as to use it against that brute who forcefully placed a bond on her.

Nangong Ah Jin could sense danger coming from his back and his sharp instinct kicked in and he left Meng Zhang on the ground and focused at the back to see the person daring enough to attack him.

It was his mistake as Long Lei chose this perfect time to shoot him by using Meng Zhang as a driving force.

True to their planning Meng Zhang pushed the sovereign Lords back and at that exact moment, Long Lei left the arrow from the brow.

It was a double attack and hence Nangong Ah Jin was not able to reflect the coming arrow at him. It was a misunderstanding that the azure dragon would not try to sabotage him.

There is no medicine for regret in this world and just like this, the sovereign of the dark realm fell down just by a single arrow from the hands of a low Marital Cultivator.

"Yes!" Long Lei shouted in happiness.

After all, her practice was definitely helping her in this problematic situation. She was thankful to her godfather for treating her the correct path and making her stronger in this unknown world.

Meng Zhang was surprised at her success. She was good. At least he got a nice master Although her cultivation was low she was still able to attack the sovereign Lord.

It was not a small matter.

It's good that fate has brought them together and looks like that she was also the successor of Shen Xin Yi according to the sovereign Lord Nangong Ah Jin.

Long Lei saw her contracted dragon and found that he was in the thoughts after she successfully shot Nangong Ah Jin.

Was he scared by her actions?

She could not understand why would he be this shocked to see her like this as if it was unusual.

The azure dragon was gazing at her like she has saved his ancestor's in his past life.

It was just a normal help but he was giving her the looks as if he saw an angel on the earth.

Was there something dirty on her face?

Meng Zhang came out from his thoughts and shook his head. He was probably too you busy in his thinking that his mistress noticed his mistakes.

He has to keep his thoughts in check so as to not allowed her of her future and quietly guide her in helping the world if she was truly the successor that was left behind Shen Xin Yi.

Meng Zhang flattered her to avoid his brief mistake.

Long Lei could feel that his praise was sincere and he was trying to divert her attention from that momentary lapse so she being magnanimous left the matter aside.

"Great! Now you know not to mess with me." Long Lei shamelessly flattered herself and reminded Meng Zhang that she was still a little girl.

"Yes, mistress."

Long Lei frowned at the word 'mistress' as she was not in the slave system. It was difficult for her to accept that slaves existed in this world and after being treated cruelly they would still go back to their master's.

It was quite pitiful to live such a life and still being grateful to others.

"Don't call me Mistress. You can call me Long Lei."

She proposed this idea in hopes of getting better at communicating with her Warcraft.

Meng Zhang was surprised at her sudden idea and even more sure that she was definitely Shen Xin's successor.

Shen Xin Yi was like this too and didn't like to belittle her servants and Warcraft. She had your heart and respected everybody around her and never differentiated in between them whether they were slaves or master's, humans or animals.

She treated them equally as if it was their right.

"But... It is against the protocol. You are my mistress and I am your contracted Warcraft. It would be strange if I call you by your name. So I can't accept your idea. Forgive me."

He apologized for not accepting her treatment because as her Warcraft it would be wrong to not respect her.

Long Lei could feel his embarrassment through their bond and she was almost expecting his refusal.

Why was it so hard for them to accept her demands?

First in Jianghu and now with him. Even animals are well trained in this world. Sometimes she wished that she could put some sense in their mind about master and slave relationship.

It was just a contract and it doesn't mean that they need to lose their dignity because of this a stupid thing for employment.

She could not tolerate her own Warcraft to behave like this as it would be not respectful to him. he was a dignified mythological beast that guarded this world along with other three beasts so how could she let him lose his respect and dignity over a contract?

It would be unfair.

She was not that kind of person to take things from others as if she was entitled to it but knows how to appreciate the things she receives from others.

"You don't need to feel bad. I am your master, yes! It does not mean that you are not a person anymore. You have your feelings thoughts and opinions just like I do. So even if you are my contracted beast you still have the right to follow your wish and choices. You still can't accept it then as your mistress I command you to use my name."

Long Lei gave him a long speech which in turn teared up the old dragon.
