Chapter 45: Sharing his dream
Fem Sweetheart,
How's my love? Only God knows how I'm missing you so much! I hope you are missing me at your end too.
My love, I have so many things I want to tell you so please bear with me. Firstly, I went there last December and you are right, I was the one you met on wheels. I have to say I was shocked and felt hurt seeing you holding the guy. You appeared close to each other. I wanted to grab you then but I'm afraid you will be frightened. I thought of turning back to follow you but I decided to trust your words anyway. Fem, do you know how much you mean to me? I don't even understand myself everytime your memory flashes to mind.
Secondly, I wanted to share with you my dream which bothers me everytime I think of you. Do you believe I dreamed about you giving me a baby? It was a wierd dream and it keeps on lingering in my mind. You gave the baby to me then you went away. I tried to stop you but you said you needed to do fulfill your dreams first. Apparently, you were saying that the baby is the hindrance to your success. I took the baby home and that was where my dream ended.
Sweetheart, I know you are still young and want to try everything. That's normal. The baby you gave me was actually your love if I may put it this way. I believe your words and I know you mean it when you said it. But it's painful to think that we cannot have the chance to be together. I'm taking care of this baby you gave me. Please remember to come back anytime you feel tired. You have a home in me.
Thirdly, I am now preparing to be transferred to the Capital City. I didn't ask for this but they commended me for it. I tried to clear my schedule to visit you first but there were just so many cases to turn over. I feel very sad and lonely leaving actually. I cannot imagine how I would manage myself if I lose you along the way. But yet, I trust you enough. Please dont grow tired of me. I don't know how long I shall stay there, but once I'm settled with my environment, I'll tind time to visit home. Which means, you can still write to me. I will read them when I'll come back soon.
Fem Sweetheart, I am trusting that you can understand my situation as well. I know how you are fighting as a student and as my lover. But please don't worry, someday, we will enjoy our time and share our lives together.

What? He had this strange dream also? Why did we have almost the same dream? Was his interpretation true for both of us? I pondered over it as I recalled my own dream. My giving the baby represents giving him my love? What does this mean? Am I that irresponsible?
...
I went home that weekend together with my usual village mates. Aling the way, we met so many people howling construction materials. Some cements, some steel bars some, some boxes. Tons of gravel and sand were dumped along the road side where the trail started. It was evident that there was going to be a big big project that will start very soon. When we reached the view point, I was surprised to see Lester standing with some of his men. He was wearing a cap that partly covered his face. I looked up and paused to think first what I needed to say or do. I decided to just follow my companions and ignore him as if I didn't see anyone.
I was relieved that he also ignored me. 'That's the best way to go', I smiled in my mind. It's really the best way to go given that I need to pass by them every weekend. If I were to talk to him and he will find his way in me again, I could not escape anymore.... and I believe he will not let me go for the second time.
"Do you see people doing something along the trail? " Papa inquired when I reached home.
"What were they supposed to do Papa? They are howling materials to the view point." I said.
"They will develop the mountain into a camp site and hiking destination." He said
"So how about the land? Did they buy it also?" I continued to inquire from Papa.
"How I wish I could just tell you my child.You are such a questioning, never resting young woman" He said.
"You can tell me Pa, I think I did not inherit dumb genes. Hehe!" I said as I looked at Papa's expression.
"There are certain things that only elders should know. " Papa said.
"Like what?" I tried to ask another one softly.
