Chapter 8: Double dating
Weeks went by and Harry had gone back to school,Fred won't let her be, always asking 'what do you want me to do to prove my love to you'
She is already in love with him, or is it infatuation, she just can't stop thinking about him and the way he kissed her that day, she couldn't believe she was about to agree to be his girlfriend.She told him that she doesn't want to fall too cheap for him, but he told her that it doesn't matter,that all that matters is being able to understand what they want. But no, she can't take that,she would be cheating on her boyfriend, she tried to explain to him that she can't cheat on Harry because she loves him, yes this is very true, Jess loves Harry but why can't she control herself for this dude, Fred told her that she won't be the first girl on the planet to cheat.Its easy for him to say, after all he is a known player, she has conscience,she can't do that to Harry, not after everything he has done for her. So she declined him, telling him it's not possible for them. He became really angry , then he stopped calling her, weeks went by and there was no text from him they would run into each other in the street but he would ignore her, what the hell was her crime Fred?,Jess would wonder. She couldn't take this new Fred's attitude towards her, it got her really upset then she decided to give him what he want.
One particular morning she stalked him to where he normally work out ,she tried to get his attention but he was still playing hard to get, ignoring her completely.
'Fred I'm talking to you '
'what do you want Jessica, please go be with your boyfriend '
'okay fine, I'm sorry Fred, I want to be your girl'
'what? 'he asked with so much surprise on his face
'you heard me Fred, I'm ready to be your girlfriend 'she was actually serious
'why? 'he asked quizzically
'well, because that's what you want? 'Jess replied with no idea why he asked such a ridiculous question
He moved closer to her, holding her by the shoulder,
'Jessie, I don't want you to date me because it's what I want, I want you to date me because it's what we want'he said looking deep into her eyes
Jess was lost for some moments in those beautiful eyes before she muttered
'I want us Fred, I want to be with you because I also like you,Ive also fallen for you too'she couldn't believe she just said those words
Fred gave her a bright charming smile and pull her into his chest, they were like that for almost thirty minutes without saying any other word to each other.
When they finally pulled apart, he asked her about Harry
'so, what about your boyfriend? '
'uhm about that,Fred you gotta give me some time to straighten things out with Harry '
'Okay, it's 100% okay by me '
What a day, she finally agreed to be his girl,what if he plays you? , wait a sec, are you actually planning to break up with Harry?, Jessica you must be kidding ,that guy has done nothing but good to you. These were the voices she was hearing in her head, but come to think of it, she doesn't want to break the union she have with Harry, she doesn't want to take that risk, Harry's friends are her friends too, he is easy to play with, she even knows his family members very well, for instance his uncle that welcomed her with such a beautiful humour and kindness or is it his mother that told her she looks very beautiful with a beautiful voice too,theres no way she is going to throw all that away,
so she is going to double date. She won't be the first to do it after all, remembering what Fred told her.
'Double dating it is'she lets out a huge sigh.
