Chapter 1: Stupid Rain
She was soaking wet and shivering, her only warmth was her horse beside her that she's hugging tightly. Her breathe was hot, her head has been aching for a long time, and her nose is congested. 'Ah, I should have brought my coat' she tought. It was only dawn and she's been trying to get up and try fixing herself so she could go back to her chamber. But when she did, she always end up hugging her hoarse as she pant and grasp for air.
"Stupid rain!" she murmur. Behind those beautiful voice also lies a beautiful dark eyes and has a killing intent flash through it. She was wearing a black hooded cowl and a veil, and she is also wearing a black robe. Looking at the extravagant green robe hang in front of her, reminds her that she had to get up and change her clothing.
She is dilatory in moving but her impulse to go to her chamber was needed. It's almost twighlight and if she hasn't back there yet, she'd be found out. "Nippy, help me up". Her horse, Nippy, helped her as the horse by her side straightened up so she won't stumble.As she change her robe, she felt her cold worsen.
The place where she is right now is the underground passage that leads through outside the palace. She used to hide here since she was young. She also kept her horse here, she'd used this passage every night when she would visit the forest to train.
She walk beside the lake slowly, she was careful because she's a little dizzy she might fall. She straightened herself, walk to her chambers when suddendly she passed out.
In her dreams, she barely see and remembers her mother. She was strict to her, all she could see was the empress glaring at her. She was only a child when the empress, her mother died. She doesn't feel pain, or any guilt. Even the emperor, her father was shocked when she didn't give any reaction at the time of her mother's death.
She was always by her mother's side so everyone thought she might cry, but at that time, she didn't. Everyone thought she was pampered by the empress, but only she knew how her mother hated her for being a woman. A woman can not simply be the next ruler of the land. So her mother only taught her how to be a proper lady, and taught her about medicine.
She is smart and she was very interested in medicine too so her master Tian Baizhou accepted her as a disciple.
Tian Baizhou was the greatest physician in the continent. He taught Meitian when she was only 6 years old. But ever since the death of the empress, the girl seems to be uninterested anymore.
The emperor doesn't show his affection to her, and only adores her late mother the empress. Before her mother died, she was taught of martial arts and medicine. After the empress' death, she was not allowed to go outside. She's 11 years old now, and she's been sneaking out every night.
"Princess? It's the princess! Hurry! Let's take her to he chamber"
