Chapter 16: AVENGERS PART II
The first wave of the invasion began pouring in through the portal gliding down looking as menacing as an invading alien army should look with advanced weaponry and an amazing backdrop, a huge portal to space.
Iron man the first Avenger on scene, flew up and began to intercept them firing repulsor rays and missiles.
Iron man was able to take out at least 10% of the invading force before he was forced to pull back as the Chitauri began to target and chase him down.
Thor dropped out of the sky and he went after Loki without holding back.
He was done trying to talk and reason with Loki.
Seconds later, a Quinjet with Hawkeye, Cap and Widow arrived at the scene and began opening fire on the Chitauri army.
There were explosion all over the streets with people screaming and running in to buildings seeking shelter.
The unlike few who couldn't make it were turned in to charred humans remains.
To the people of New York City, this was the apocalypse.
"This is much worse than the movie" Kal said as he floated in the air looking down at the streets that turned in to a battle felid.
"The cube can wait, I need to help and collect some Karma from the universe"
Kal was quickly flying down to the streets when a falling Quinjet zoomed passed him.
He changed his course and flew straight at the falling Quinjet, rising his hand as he reached it, summoning his telekinesis and stopping its fall, slowing the jet and floating it down to the ground.
The ramp of the jet opened at Cap, Widow and Hawkeye came out looking to the sky and seeing Kal floating above.
"Was it you who helped us?" Cap asked
Kal nodded.
"Then thanks kid, it's time to get to wor…" Cap stopped mid sentence as he looked up in to the sky in shock.
Widow and Hawkeye were also looking up to the sky with a look of shock on their faces.
Kal turned to see what was grabbing there attention and there it was, a massive flying beast coming through the portal.
It was a fusion of machinery and biology to make an aircraft that was also a living beast.
"Leviathan" Kal whispered.
The leviathan came down from the sky and destroyed a couple of buildings before flying straight at Kal.
ROAR.
"If you want death, then I shall grant it"
Kal left hand began to glow gold then he pointed the then at the Leviathan.
The Leviathan's movements came to a sudden halt as an invisible force held it in place.
With his same risen hand, Kal formed a fist and they most amazing thing began to happen, the massive Leviathan began to fold and shrink in to itself.
There were sounds of scream from both the Leviathan and it's passengers as bone and metal were being folded.
Seconds later, the massive leviathan was no more, only a huge ball of flesh and metal remained floating in the air.
Kal pointed to the portal and the huge ball of metal and flesh shot back it the portal like a missile taking out a few Chitauri and another Leviathan that was still floating in space trying to enter the portal.
The hundreds of Chitauri that had witness this all roared and began rushing towards Kal.
Kal still float in the air looking at the Chitauri rushing towards him and thought, "Nothing but cockroaches"
Kal eyes turned and glowed red as constant beams of red light shoot out from his eyes and cut all the Chitauri in to pieces in just 10 seconds flat.
All around him there was no Chitauri life, just death.
Cap, Widow and Hawkeye had their mouths open after want they had just witnessed, it was a one sided massacre.
"Damn, I am glad you are on our side" Hawkeye said.
Cap and Widow nodded in agreement.
What they had just witnessed Kal do was beyond words, hundreds of Chitauri dead and he didn't even move from his original spot, that was power that should be feared.
"I would love to stay here and hear more praises, but there is something I need to do"
"What could you possible want to do right now?" Widow asked.
Kal pointed at the portal, "I need to access the computer on their command ship, it might have useful information"
Cap, Widow and Hawkeye gave him a weird look, "you do know that portal opens in to space and that is where their command ship is right" Widow said.
Kal chuckled, "I know the portal opens in to space, it won't be a problem for me"
Cap, Widow and Hawkeye looked confused.
"Do by chance have access to a space ship?" Hawkeye asked
"Nope, I can breathe in space" Kal responded before he shot off in to the sky right through the portal.
Back on the New York Streets, Cap, Widow and Hawkeye were looking up at the portal Kal just went through.
"Did he just say he could breathe in space?" Cap.
"Yep" Widow replied.
"You know what, at this point I am not surprised" Hawkeye said.
As they looked up at the portal, they spotted another wave of Chitauri coming thought and likely there were no huge flying beasts.
Thor and Iron man dropped from the sky and came to land next to Cap, Widow and Hawkeye.
"What's the play?" Iron man asked Cap.
