Chapter 5: :What now?:
Stella Pov.
Looking up at this stranger it seems like he didn't notice me or even hear me, being the curious child I was, I slowly start walking over to him until I'm about 2 feet away from him. Tilting my head I reach my little hand out and grab his cloak.
This startled him, spinning around he grabbed me and held me by the front of my night dress. Looking at his face, I stare into a pair of ruby red eyes and gasp not in fear but in awe. They're so pretty, I reach my hand out and touch his face. He's got a sharp jawline, a thin nose, and very smooth skin pale in color almost like a porcelain doll but not fully.
without thinking I voice my thoughts. "Pretty" He started shaking after, I can't tell if he's laughing or angry at me for that comment. Not wanting to push my luck I keep quiet "You must be Lou's kid huh?" What? this person knows daddy? but that still doesn't explain why he's in my kitchen.
I tilt my head in confusion. Catching my confused look he continues with a smirk on his lips. "Well, why don't I take you for a walk little one, Maybe that will get Lou to show up," he all but growls out heading for the back door. This can't be good I try to wiggle out of his hold on me, seeing my struggles he lets out a deep chuckle.
"Nice try kid, but you're not leaving till me and your daddy have a chat" No! I can't go with him! I start to scream but before it can leave my lips he puts his hand over my mouth and growls angrily "Ah I can't have you waking Elle up now can I?" After that he chants some type of spell, A big gust of wind comes around us making me close my eyes tight in fear, clutching his arm for dear life.
the wind subsides after a few moments I slowly open my eyes and see that we are in a forest. This place looks familiar...It's the Lost forest. Looking around I can see we are in some kind of clearing, luckily it's not the same one mommy and I walked through with that in mind I breathe a sigh of relief "Ah, looks like they already brought you here little one hm?" I nod my head without looking at him.
"Ha! I bet it was Elle, wasn't it! Knowing her she was going to meet up with Lou" I nod again. still not making a single noise. At this time my stomach makes itself known by grumbling loudly, making me blush. "Ah, I'm hungry too you stay here while I get us some food." after saying that he puts me down on a rock and left to get some food for us.
After he left I started to hear rustling by the tree across me. being the small child that I am, I call out "Hello?" I ask softly. Waiting for a response I hear nothing but the wind blowing. I call out again "Hello?" Again I wait But still nothing, just as I'm about to move I catch a Pair of yellow eyes looking at me from behind the trees.
I pause my movements unable to look away from those piercing dark yellow eyes. I c-can't move. I can only look on as the eyes are getting closer to me, but not leaving the tree line in front of me. I can see what appear to be long arms hanging. and the most terrifying thing happens.. it starts to speak in a low and scratchy voice "Ceahaskai".
What? whats a Ceahaskai? before I can ask what it means it disappears faster than it came. After it leaves I can finally move again, whew... that was a close call, I wonder why it didn't try and attack me? what is this Ceahaskai thing anyway, before I can wonder anymore he returns with a few berries and some fish? "Good thing you didn't try and move, I'd hate to have to hurt you~"
I do nothing but stare at him in dismay for that comment. "What? cat got ya tongue kid?" I shake my head and point to where I saw those eyes. "Yellow eyes," I said this seemed to peak his interests. "Hm, so you saw a Wood drift. odd they normal don't show up this far in. Anyway hurry up and eat Lou will be shortly" after that he handed me some berries and water. popping s few in my mouth I start to wonder who this man is. He doesn't look scary but not harmless either, Maybe he is a friend of daddy's.
But that won't explain why he took me with him, Now that I can see him more, he's wearing a white shirt split down the middle held together with some kind of black string. As for the pant he's wearing they look to be made of leather with a few cuts on the thighs, calves, and waistband. For his shoe's their just a pair of black leather army boots.
After looking at his outfit I start to notice his ears and tail again. they are a soft almost white silver color, his eyes look more blood red than ruby in the early daylight. What I found odd is that I don't see any kind of weapon on him, He must think he can take daddy on with no problem. Mommy must be worried sick about me hopefully she won't lock me up in the house after this.
With a heavy sigh, I finish my berries and water. "You're pretty quiet for being Lou and Elle's kid" What's taking daddy so long! Not bothering to answer him I lay down to cloud gaze, trying to make the time go by faster. In doing so I can see the weird pollen stuff I saw a few months back floating around, Lifting my hand up I grab one and hold it.
I'm getting a warm fluffy feeling from it. "What are you doing kid?" I hear him ask me, Ignoring him I continue to catch and hold on to the pollen that seems to disappear into me when I make contact with it. "Hey! Kid are you ignoring me??" this made me stop what I'm doing and look over at him. Seeing that he's got my attention he asks me again. "Are you ignoring me?" Thinking if I was truly ignoring him I speak.
"No, I was catching pollen. see?" I said holding my hand out for him to see the pollen before its gone, He walks over and looks at my hand, and raises an eyebrow at me. "um kid there's nothing" looking at my hands I can clearly see, it but he can't? "But its there..." I trail of getting lost in thought maybe I'm the only one who can see it. That would make sense, but if this is Mana why can't anyone else see or feel it like I can? "Ah glad you could finally join us..Lou" Huh? I look over and see daddy standing there looking livid. "SIGEWEARD!!" Daddy yells back...What..?
