Chapter 9: Settling
Pheladi's house was huge ,classy and absolutely beautiful, the cottage itself was not that bad . A gorgeous lady appeared to greet them ,at first Ditiro thought she was a man because of how she was dressed. To her surprise the lady (Katlego) kissed Pheladi ,so suddenly it made sense, they were lesbians. She frose for a moment but then came to her senses quickly, who was she to judge anyway Pheladi was kind.
They settled in quite nicely, Pheladi and Katlego also had a son same age as Naledi. Katlego owned a hotel so she hired Ditiro, agreement was that she must work part time so she can complete her grade 11 and 12.At first it was not easy but Ditiro settled into a routine between her job ,school and her children.
It felt like things were looking up,Ditiro finished her grade 12 and Dikano was doing his third year .Their kids were growing up healthy and sort of happy. Hard as it was without each other ,they managed just alright.
Now it was was that make or break moment. Ditiro's matric exams , she worked hard .She made a promise to herself before her exams that she was to work hard to make a better life for her children. So as to not be dependent on anyone, she needs this certificate.
