Chapter 1: Reincarnation?
I observed the foreign surroundings for a clue as to where I was. The walls were decorated with decor that I would probably only see in museums. It confused me a lot I had just been in bed at home and now I was here.
As if a spell was placed on me I was put in a trance, and along with it came memories. Were they mine? Yes they were but also... not? It was a weird situation where the memories of my life and someone else's began to fuse.
The life of me, a normal person back in my world and the me from this world who was a orphaned boy adopted by a noble family. With the two sets of memories coming together within my mind I felt the many emotions from the memories.
Soon all the memories came to a stop and my trance was broken. My conscience with the memories of two, remained stable and accepted both sets other world me and current world me.
What would I do now? Well I would start by piecing my situation together.

What I discovered from my little search was that I had come into the world of a story. A story I had helped write with my friend Kieth.
Why was I here and also... why do I, Alis Recon, exist. The Recon noble family existed in the original story but there was no Alis within it. Well no, actually now that I think about it there was but he was dead during the story and had only been mentioned in my and Kieth's notes.
So now I was him who was to die if a sickness that would plague the kingdom of Crystali, and it would happen in two years. I had two years to leave this kingdom or stop the sickness from coming or rather stop the curse from being cast.
Those two were my only choices and leaving the kingdom would be harder than the latter. To leave would be difficult from me being a noble, not by birth mind you and rather adoption, but I was still a noble. I would hav to find a proper disguise to leave and then I would have to survive on my way to a new kingdom and that was the dangerous part.
The reason why the kingdoms have power over people and they don't complain even if the ruler is a piece of shit is that outside the territories of kingdoms' is the Wilds. Untamed land full of dangerous beasts where many die, that is The Wilds. You might hear my description and not think it is that scary but hoo-boy as the co-creator of the world I know how scary it is with all the situations we put the protagonist through.
Speaking of the protagonist my plans to stop my death from the curse requires me to take stuff he would be receiving but with me removing the threat of the curse placed who would be the final boss and reason the protagonist becomes the protagonist. As for if I could avoid the curse without neutralizing the final boss, the answer would be no. The curse is a strange one which was just a plot device as it could kill even the strongest people but some who were weaker than even the current me would survive. Look me and Kieth were new to this whole writing business.
Well getting up I loosened myself up and did some stretches. Let's move.
I went and changed out of some clothes too. Can't go out in my sleepwear.
