Soon enough Asher and I arrive home and Asher is already on the Move looking for the perfect outfit for me.
" Girl have you seen the red dress I got you for the club awhile ago that we never went to? you know the one that's all sparkly open back?" Ash asks running around our small apartment. I know exactly what dress he's talking about and know where it is.
"Ash why would I be wanting to wear that? that is way too revealing for a first meeting." The dress has a cowl neck and is mid thigh length, the back very open and it's the definition of sexy.
"What do you mean first meeting you already met him, he already likes you girl, and he'll love you after I get done with you." I don't even want to to see him, what makes Ash think I'll want him to love me after this.
" Ash I'm not interested, he's such a pervert he grabbed me outside the bathroom even though I don't even know him. On top of that he's going to the Army, he's leaving I'm not about to deal with this, is too stressful. If he wants to be friends I might try that other than that I don't think I can, I can do that. long distance is not-"
" AHHA! Here it is! I found the dress, Awin you are going to blow him away in this." I sigh, there is no reasoning with Asher like this, he didn't even realise he even cut me off.
"fine ash, lets get this over with. I expect to be wasted after tonight." I give an exhausted eye roll as I head to change while he gets himself ready.
I head to the bathroom and change into this dress, I spend a few minutes looking at myself in the mirror, the dress is too good for my body, it looks like it should be on someone famous. I finally head out and go back to my room to show Asher.
"How do I look?" I come out feeling shy, he may be my best friend but it's still a guy.
His mouth hangs open and I swear he started drooling.
"Ah Ash? You okay there? I think you have a little-"
"Huh? Oh ah haha you look really good! If you weren't basically my sister I'd go after you haha." This guy, he's always had a mini crush on me but it was never bad, he's never made a move on me or anything.
"Well can you do my makeup now, let's get this night over with."
We head to the car and we listen to music with the occasional conversation about how River will act tonight and what I should say.
*At Bar*
"Are you sure he'll be here? I mean, I'd be fine if he wasn't, these guys won't stop looking at me. I just want to get drunk and go home." I mumble trying to pull my dress down a little.
"I'm positive you won't stand you up, give him a call," He grabs me and takes me to a more quiet area away from all the guys eye raping me
"Um can you call? I don't wanna," I pout like a little baby, batting my eyes up at him.
" I can't do everyone for you Awinita, you gotta get a guy sometime or I'll take you," he smugly states.
"fine, fine I'll call." if I don't I'm not sure what this goof ball will do.
He gives me a little hum before shewing me off. I head out towards the restrooms and start contemplating if this is a good idea.
I pull my phone out and try to think if I should call yet or if I should just wait a little longer but I know Asher won't give up till I call.
" Alright, here goes nothing," I whisper under my breath.
Just as I'm about to press call I feel a guy's arms wrap around my waist. This guy isn't River and it for fucks sure isn't Asher. I start to struggle but he's strong.
"Oh no you don't baby girl. I've been eyeing you since you walked in with that little boy waiting for him to leave your side. What do you see in him? He can't please you like I can baby doll." he slurs, obviously drunk. I can spell the liquor off him and it's making me feel sick.
" Let go! A-" his hand smacks over my mouth as the other gropes my breast.
"Don't worry, you'll be screaming soon enough," shit, I need someone to help fast or something might happen.
All the sudden there's a sound of bones cracking and the weight is lifted off me. I turn around and there is River smashing this 50 some big guy with a worried Asher trying to stop him.
This isn't the type of guy I expected River to be, I thought he was a cold hearted jerk. Turns out I was wrong, so very wrong. I have to stop him before he hurts himself and get those two out of the club before the police get here.
"Please stop! You could get in big trouble, you two get out of here, I'll deal with the police, its okay! Please stop!" I start panicking once I hear police sirens in the distance.
I put my hand on Rivers back and he suddenly stops and looks up at me.
" please stop, please. I promise I'll give you a chance, everything's okay. Go with Asher, please go." I whimper, my voice barely Audible.
He finally gets up and Asher drags him out back while calling his family who own the bar telling them to cover this up and to make sure they guy gets arrested.
I was so very wrong about River. I barely know him but I can tell he has a big heart. I wonder what else I was wrong about. I falsely accused him of being a pervert, my view on him was distorted from the first moment I met him. I owe him my life, the least I can do is give him a shot. Maybe something good will come out of our new relationship, maybe, just maybe, he and I will be happy. I think I hear faint yells from the police as I faint.
