Chapter 206: Division in the School (1/2)

When Arthur woke up on Sunday morning, it took him a moment to remember why he felt so miserable. Then the memory of the incident last night haunted over him.

Arth sighed.

Stupid ass Goblet of Fire getting bewitched.

Arthur dressed and wore his pendant before going down the spiral staircase into the common room. The moment he appeared, the people who had already finished breakfast broke into applause.

It seems that he forgot that now, He was something like a miniature hero to the Gryffindors. Although he managed to escape the man yesterday, it seems as though he couldn't do it today.

"Arth!"

"How you doing, Mr. champion."

"You better win."

To these comments, Arth just put on his heroic mask and walked through the crowd of people.

When they asked if they could go down to the Great Hall with him, Arth adamantly refused.

The prospect of going down into the Great Hall and facing the rest of the Gryffindors, all treating him like some sort of deity, was not inviting. Not at all.

He walked resolutely over to the portrait hole, pushed it open, climbed out of it, and hoped dearly that his stupid passive MC character aura would activate.

Sadly, it didn't work and Arthur crashed head first into Hermione.

"Hello," she said Awkwardly, holding up a stack of toast, which she was carrying in a napkin. "I. . . . Was going to head back in. . . ."

"Okay," said Arth.

They stared at each other awkwardly while not saying a word.

"Do you wanna go out for a walk-"

"Arth!"

Before Hermione could finish, Scarlett had interrupted her.

"I was looking for you Arth! Come on, let's go. I need to tell you something."

Arth hesitated while looking at Hermione before nodding.

"Sure. . . . Well, see you Hermione."

"Ah. . . . Yeah."

Scarlett grabbed Arth by the arm and dragged Arth outside, not before sending Hermione a nasty glare.

They walked along the path around the school until they reached the Lake.

There, Scarlett turned around and faced Arth with a worried look.

"Are you ok Arth?"

Caught off guard, Arth raised an eyebrow.

"Huh?"

"You are now participating in the tournament, are you okay with that?"

"Oh that. . . . I guess I've been worse."

Arthur let out a sigh.

"I can't believe that I'm this unlucky. It's like I'm the main character of some Webnovel fanfic. . . ."

"Do you know how this happened?"

Arth told Scarlett exactly what had happened after he had left the Ravenclaw table the night before. Every detail up to the part where Harry and Ron supporting him.

"Well, of course I knew you hadn't entered yourself," she said when he'd finished telling her about the scene in the chamber off the Hall. "It would be stupid to think you entered on your own will after that. . . . Fire show. Are you hurt in anyway?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Good, is not, I was going to destroy it."

"Ah," said Arth while patting Scarlett on the head. "Thanks for caring."

Scarlett let out a satisfied smile.

"Of course I am."

Arth smiled warmly while watching but soon felt down once more.

Seeing this, Scarlett placed her arm around Arthur.

"what's wrong?"

"I'm going to be ostracized by the rest of the school. I'm calling it right now."

"Why?"

"Well, slytherin will hate on me just cause. Hufflepuff will think I'm trying to take their glory, Ravenclaw might go for Cedric because he is handsome and older."

"But you are also handsome? And older doesn't mean better. You are just like him.

Arth shook his head.

"I'm not that famous, it's Harry who is. Cedric is very likable and friendly while im antisocial. Plus, Cedric plays quidditch. Cedric wants to participate, I don't."

"You are still better."

Arth sighed.

"Sure."

Why was Scarlett so adamant in thinking he was the best. If this went on, she would have to live with him.

Sigh, what was he going to do.

Unaware of what was going on in Arth's mind, Scarlett tried to reassure Arth.

"It's ok Arth, surely the Hufflepuff won't hate you."

Arth shrugged.

"I don't know, maybe."

Scarlett rolled her eyes.

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad."
