I surprised to know that he already copied the ability of black beard dark-dark fruit while giving information about his plan..
He was caught by cp9 while exploring about pluton blue prints...he never properly learned to use his devil fruit powers and caught by them and end of losing his fight he manged to awaken his arnament.
