Chapter 15: start of the battle(15)
It was a dark night and in a small bush near the walls of hope valley a small lit goblin with a knife in hand.Was about to run to climb up the wall however after moving from the bush his foot got caught in a trap and the goblins screamed in pain alerting the guards who swiftly shot an arrow through the creatures head.
As soon as the goblins lifeless body slapped the ground many of the other goblins hiding in other near by bushes started to charge but were met with goals of arrows.However most arrows hadn't hit there Mark beacuse they were being fired by the villagers only a few lucky shots and trained archers got a kill.Luckily the traps worked thier magic and killed the goblins who were just madly charging without thinking about there surroundings.
However there was still 20 goblins who manged to get to the wall and starts to climb using blunt axes and rough rope.So far they had only killed 8 goblins.The goblins battled the guards but it didn't improve thier situation as the guards were trained and naturally stronger.Aswell ha formations unlike the goblins who mostly acted as individuals even in big group's only knowing that's it's smart to stick together and have leaders.
A few goblins still did manged to get some stabs and cuts onto their foes and wounded 9 and killed 2.As of now the sneak attack was a failure with them starting with 30 goblins and having 8 die in arrows or traps and 12 being killed by the guards.As for the other two they met a wild beast and got killed so luck wasn't on thier side either.
The surviving goblins retreated to lick thier wounds and tell thier leader what happened in the battle.Two days later the goblins sent 65 goblins to attack the village with these goblins having better equipment and skills.
The battle went on for 3 hours and the death and injury on the humans side started to rise at s much faster rate.With the deaths on jays side being 35 dead and 23 injured whilst the goblins was 48 dead and 12 injured.
After the battle Jay decide to have one last battle since they were starting to run low on arrows and traps and food was slowly being depleted.So he got wolf and Jack to both get ready for the final battle and just as Jay was giving out his orders.
The same was happening with the goblin leader Rog who was shouting at his soldiers whilst sitting on a throne made of animal hide branches and skeletons of different creatures.He also had he same idea as Jay an told all goblin to get ready for was he was even forcing children and women to fight.Who had little training since Rog was furious at the fact they hadn't beaten there enimes yet even with their might. Rog was praised by his people but really they all hated and dispised him beacuse of his cruelty and hienouse acts against his own people.Like strangling a 4 year old beacuse the child scratched Rog whilst he was trying to rape the child's Mother.Another crime he committed was knowingly send 5 old farmers to there deaths beacuse they tried to protect a woman.Who he wanted even though she asked the farmers to help her which they tried and as for the fate of the woman her body was fed to the worms.
The only reason he was leader was beacuse of his people's fear of his strength since if Jay Looked at him he would see Rog was lvl 22.
