Groggily getting up, Fang sat on the chair. Groaning with pain, he tilted his head back and relaxed for a minute.
'I really need to change that...,' he thought.
[Golem Creation Skill acquired]
Groaning, he stared at the notification. Sighing, he got up.
"Alright," he mumbled.
Waving his hands, he began summoning clumps of soft mud. It slowly rose in a spiral until a column of mud was formed. From that, he began to form a vaguely humanoid figure with a hole in it's face.
Satisfied with his creation, Fang released a roaring blue jet of flame onto the creature, rapidly hardening the material. It was time for the final step.
'Now, how does this go again?' he pondered.
Bringing up the scroll within his mind, Fang pored over it. Finding the correct section, he exited the mind palace.
'Just insert a thread of spiritual energy. Sounds easy enough," he thought.
Generating spiritual energy, he thrust it into the golem. There was a small clang in his mind as the spiritual link was established.
Fang smiled.
This... was interesting.
The golem's singular eye lit up with a green glow.
'Walk forward,' he commanded.
The golem walked forward one step.
Fang smiled.
'Walk to the farm,'
The golem turned around and walked to the door. Continuing walking, it stepped forward. Repeatedly bumping into the door, it continued it's useless walk.
Fang stared at the golem with a disappointed face.
'Idiot, open the door first!' he thought.
The golem stopped moving. Reaching out a hand, it opened the door and stood in the doorway.
'GO TO THE FARM!' Fang thought furiously.
This was going to be a hassle. He could not communicate each and every instruction to the golem, as it would take too much time!
'System, isn't there any way to increase the efficiency of the golems?' he thought.
[...]
[Yes there is. One must sufficiently increase the artistic quality of the golem in order to increase it's intelligence. The more detailed it is and the more effort put into making the golem, the smarter and more obedient it will be]
'Interesting...'
[...]
'Well time to get to it then!' Fang thought cheerfully.
Pulling away the hardened clay from the earlier golem, he smashed it into dust. Adding more clay to the powder, he mixed up the the clay and began to shape it.
Carefully molding the clay, he diverted all of his focus onto the clay golem, his eyes razor focused.
[Comprehension into Laws of Clay increased]
Ignoring the notification, Fang pushed and pulled at the clay, creating his desired shape. Taking out a sharp needle he continued to create small details on the clay statue. Adding small strands of hair and fingernails, he began to create an almost lifelike replica of a human. Giving the statue hazel eyes and wavy hair, he began to slowly add minute details to the figure. An aura of simplicity and a regal air hung about the lifelike statue.
Sighing, Fang stepped away from the statue.
'How interesting...' he thought.
'I suppose this will be a highly intelligent golem,'
'Wonderful!'
Raising his hand, he flicked a thread of spiritual energy into the statue. There was a golden flash and the statue dropped to the floor, kneeling towards Fang.
"Greetings, Master," he spoke softly, his black hair falling over his eyes.
Fang smiled. This golem was absolutely perfect...
'Create a plot of land. Then prepare the land and farm some Golden Cotton Blooms,' he instructed the golem telepathically.
The golem stood up and nodded. slowly fading into the earth, he vanished.
Fang smiled. This was the perfect situation. He now had two obedient servants to do his work for him and help maintain the farm.
Sighing he went outside and lay down on the hammock.
'This is the life,' he thought to himself, smiling happily.
