Chapter 29: Beginning of my so called 'mis'understanding
"Y-yeah? Uhh...Who is ahhn~ Nolan you si.....silly bo-yyyy! Ahh!"
My ear might be hearing things, but after all, I could only hear rustles and endless grunts and moans, but one thing I heard clearly was my husband's name.
Being uttered by a woman, a stranger to our marriage.
I couldn't bear hearing more so I hanged up the call.
I sat to the nearest couch, my legs loose its strength and a tremor from my hands in which I hid towards my mother in law happened.
"What is it?" My mother in law, with a smile on her face asked me a question innocently.
"No...Uhh- H-his sec..secretary said tha-that...he's busy"
Busy f*cking a woman.
Turning over so they won't see the tears forming on my eyes, I wiped it with the back of my hand. Meanwhile, I could feel the gazes of my close friends and in laws, their inquiring gazes put a lump on my throat and I could feel like there's something lodged on my heart that's making me hard to breathe.
"I'll be going now" I immediately stand after calming down.
"Are you sure? You look pale, maybe we should-"
"No! I mean-no I'm fine, I just need to sleep it out. Besides, my head is throbbing painfully now, Alisha, Xin xue, can you take me home?"
Lies.
My head's not in pain but my heart is.
"Okay, we'll be going first Iris, Aunty" Seems like Xin xue bought my act, considering the pain on my face.
After settling down on Alisha's car, the atmosphere turned tense and silence emerged from the inside. Seems like their giving me space to think.
"You know...you can talk to us" Alisha said while she's currently driving.
"Yeah, we will wait for you" Xin xue said and took my hand into her.
Looking at them, all I could do was nod, afraid that if I let out just a word, I'll blurt everything out ad cry like a madwoman. Besides, I still need to talk about Nolan.
I still need his explanation.

Its been three days since I called him, and was lead into something much much more sinister. I said that I would wait for his explanation but fear and doubt was crawling up on my mind.
I could no longer think about the rumors, nor the calls from Li Jun, the pain of not eating properly and becoming more stressed than ever.
I feel like I'm dying.
Like a fish being brought into land, with no water to fill my lungs with, no way to live with.
A plant that is near to its death.
"Eiri! I know you're in there so open up!" Their voices are loud, Xin xue once again shouted as she banged the door.
"Eiri please! Open the door! Do you think everything would be resolved after you run away from it!" My mother in law, Heline said with a cry on her tone.
I know they're here to cheer me up and take me away from this hell hole they knew as my house, our house.
But I can't.
Because I'm weak.
They are totally right, that I'm just running away from my problem and most of all, my fears. But what can I do?
I'm a woman who fell in love with a man cold enough to leave me i this mansion-no, this prison he built for me.
I thought I could change him, but that was merely a thought, it wouldn't happen in reality.
After tasting my dream like life, I forgot the harsh brutal ways of reality, now, its coming back with me with full force hard enough to make me stumble on a cliff and fall.
I hope somebody would shed light on me.
