Chapter 3: Split Second
As I make my way to the school gate, whispering voices surround me. It's kind of scary how girls react to a hot guy - sometimes I wonder if we're the same species. Anyway, from what I can gather - no I'm not eavesdropping, they're loud enough for me to hear - he's been there for more than 20 minutes! I bet if he wasn't so dreamy someone would have called the cops by now - or at least a teacher. It seems everyone is too busy admiring him to actually talk and ask if he needs anything or anyone, why else would he be here.
Fine. I'll go otherwise this will never end.
As I started to make my way towards him, he finally moved. But, he simply looked up and left. Well, so much for my resolve, however I swear our eyes met in that split second. No, that's impossible. I'm still over 100 meters away. And yet, I have a feeling that I'm right. I wish I could make sure, but he's already gone. Ah well, as they say 'out of sight out of mind'. Time to go home.
