Chapter 14: Chapter 14: It's a School Day (Part 2)
Lunch was awkward as everyone from my class seemed to be avoiding me. I think half of them are genuinely upset with me calling myself a Magical Boy, while the other half just wants to avoid the drama.
I ate at a table with some kids from the other classes, but they all already had their cliques so I pretty much just sat there in silence for most of lunch.
I did end up asking a group of them about the Practical classes before shit hit the fan fifth period.
"So basically, the Practical classes are divided into three categories. There's Academic, Development and Constuction, and Combat," says David, a chubby boy who was well dressed with a comb over.
"Academic is purely study. It's Math, Philosophy, History and Magi-Science. If you take Academic classes, you'll be studying for the rest of the day," chimes Larry, David's lanky friend.
"Development and Construction is where you learn about the World Tree's development process," David cuts back in. "It's about learning how to construct and manage projects and developments. So there's a mixture of physical and academic classes."
"And Combat classes focuses on the dungeoneering process of climbing down the tree." Finishes Brin, their last friend. "It's all physical classes, and it can be pretty brutal after four hours."

"Yeah, but only really strong kids like you get into that class. Us Normies need to stay in Acedemic or D. n C." Replies Larry.
"Yeah, New kid, you seem pretty jacked, but they got super natural powers all up in there," David says putting his hand on my shoulder, giving it a consoling pat. "I'd think you'd like DnC a lot, too. The bell's about to ring any minute now, you can follow me to our first class."
"Not a fat chance he is," a Boyish voice intersects from behind us.
Evone come up to our table, as the bell marking the end of lunch rings out.
"I need to teach the self proclaimed 'Magical Boy' a lesson in being an ignorant asshat," Evone declares, the energy around him stirring a bit.
David and Larry pull back in terror, hiding behind Brin for cover.
"Look, we don't know your drama, But leave our table out of it," Brin bites back.
"You're standing up for this ignorant asshole? He knows nothing but he declared himself a Magical Boy like it was a chore," Evone shouts back, flailing his arms. His eyes turn Pink. "He's shitting on generations of work for equality."
"He said he just transmigrated here yesterday. Ignorance is understandable I think. We can teach him better. Now leave before I make you," Brin says with a glare.

"If he just transmigrated, then he shouldn't keep going around calling himself that. I can't be the first person to say something, but he still treats being a Magical Boy like a chore," Evone starts to flare up. "At the very least, he needs to change his fucking attitude."
Brin gets off the cafeteria chair and faces Evone. She widens her stance and places both of her hands to her left hip as if she was going to draw a katana.
"Back down, or I'll beat you down. Your anger is misguided," Brin threatens.
"You're just a chi user. How could you beat me?" Evone mocks. "I'm going to beat his ass in next period, and show him why he's an ass who doesn't know the true power of love. I'll show him the power of a Magical Girl who really knows how to love herself."
The two start to glare at eachother, the air between them sparking electricity. Both are still, until Evone starts to glow a bright yellow. Brin's leads foot lunges foward as she draws her right hand from her hip, making a wide swing in the air. A bright blue light follows her hand, as it launches foward, making a large, sharp blue wave heading right towards Evone.
The blue wave collides right into the mass of light where Evone was, and a large explosion erupts in the middle of the Cafeteria. when the dust settle, Evone was revealed to be floating mid air and unscathed.
Evone was already pretty for a boy, so his transformation made him indistinguishable from a girl. He wore a white sleeveless uniform with red trimming, and on his arms were to large cylindrical arm warmers that's magically didn't roll up or down to much, leaving his shoulders exposed. Her skirt was pleaded and tried with a red band as well. And her thigh high socks left a strip of her thigh exposed-
Shit, I'm already thinking of him as a girl.

I'm going to ignore that bombshell.
I'm brought back to reality as I see Evone charging up a large spell, and Brin running at him with a sword made of blue energy, looking like she's going in to war.
"STOP!" I holler. The girls both- I mean the two both stop to look at me. Both look like they're ready for blood. I gulp before I address them both.
"I'll join the Combat classes, it's fine. Just don't break more things or scare more people. Look, David ran away leaving a pee trail, and Larry's passed out over there." I point to Larry, who is unceremoniously slouched under the table, gripping its legs even though he lost consciousness due to his fear.
Brin pauses for a bit, before drawing her energy sowrd back to her waste.
"Is that so? Well, I should be heading over. I'll be bringing Larry to the infirmary, so let Mrs.Gunfire know if I'm late."
Brin picks up Larry in one motion and throws him onto her shoulder. She then turns like nothing happened and just walks out of the Cafeteria. Most people already cleared out after the initial explosion, and I was left there alone with Evone.
"Okay, maybe you're not a complete coward, but I'm still kicking your ass."
The damage done to the Cafeteria already starts to repair itself, no doubt due to some incredible magic or something. Evone Transforms back into his normal clothes as he pops back down to the ground. He walks out towards the exit of the Cafeteria.
"Wait!" I call put for him. He turns around.
"What is it?" he tersly asked.
"How do we get to fifth period from here again?"
