Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Roland Dennis woke up after hearing blaring sirens, which he knew were the bases' alarm. He wondered what happened. In his 20 years as head researcher of this base, the emergency alarm never went off. But he knew that didn't matter now. Roland got out of his bed and went to the door. A few steps and he was at the door. It was a suprisingly short distance. After all, you would expect the Head Researcher to have a big room. You'd be wrong in this case. Roland had this part of the base rebuilt, a small chamber to be closer to his research room. He was always engrossed in his research, his last one relating to black holes. This would later save his life.
Since Roland didn't know what was going on, he did what he always did. He went to his research room, located right next to his bedroom. Roland thought that the situation would quickly be solved by the army. This was, after all, a top secret military research facility. Little did he know this alarm would be the start to the Great Intergalactic War. Not that it mattered to him anyways.
---Right outside the planet---
An enormous alien fleet had arrived, sending the planet into alarm. Thousands upon thousands of both small and big ships, all armed to the teeth were approaching. In the swarm, there were 5 ships bigger than all the others. These ships were phallic-shaped 1,000km long, 50km wide and 100km high. The armor of these ships suddenly split in the middle to reveal a gigantic ray gun. They aimed for the planet and shot, the beams of the five guns combined and formed a giant green ball that flew to the planet. When it hit the planet, it rapidly expanded, covering the whole planet in green. Then it rapidly contracted to a single point and dissapeared. The planet was gone.
---In a bedroom inside a castle---
Roland shot up bathed in sweat and short of breath. After a few seconds, he remembered everything. His lab, the attack and his death. He wondered what happened and why he was still alive, when a headache hit him. Memories that weren't his flooded his mind. Half an hour later Roland calmed down enough to get a grip of the situation. He saw a flash of green, died and then transmigrated to this bedroom. He was now in what seemed a medieval-like world, complete with mighty knights and warlocks. Unfortunately, this world was one where might makes right. So he added becoming stronger to his to-do list. From his memories he gathered that he has transmigrated as Roland Rowe, son of baron Anton Rowe of the Hildegard Kingdom. His father was a Level 1 Knight, the family possessed a Knight Training Manual that could be trained till Level 3 Knight. As far as the previous owner of his new body knew, Knights were ranked as follows: Apprentice Knight Level 1-5, Knight Level 1-7, Grand Knight Level 1-5 and Realm Knight Level 1-10. There could be more, but he didn't know. He also found out that a Level 10 Realm Knight was about equal in strength to a First Order Warlock.
The Hildegard Kingdom was located at the end of the Sala continent, in a region with almost no Warlock resources known as the Barren Subcontinent. The lack of these special resources made it that there were no forces backed by Warlocks on the Subcontinent. The most powerfull person in the Hildegard Kingdom was King Francois Hildegard, a Level 2 Grand Knight. The Hildegard Kingdom bordered the sea on one side, the Elda Kingdom and the Beverly Duchy on the other side. The fief of his Rowe family was about 100km² and contained Klerk Village, Ker Village, Rowe Town where the family castle was located, 1 copper mine and 3 iron mines. For a total of 18,573 people and about 840 gold coins in yearly tax.
This was his current situation. 'Al's good, I can use my knowledge to build a base here and get stronger.' He was making plans when suddenly...
[1%... 10%... 35%... 50%... 80%... 99%... 100% AI chip rebooted.]
'AI chip, what happened?'
[The alien ultra ray gun in combination with host's research on black holes, especially specimen nr.5, created an opportunity for host's soul to transmigrate.]
'Is the database intact?'
[Yes.]
'Can you show me my current bodily stats?'
[Strength 0.67, Agility 0.55, constitution 0.69, spirit ?]
'Hmmmm, a bit less than a normal middle aged man. I should have 0.70 for everything at least as a healthy 17 year old. Chip, show me ways to get stronger.'

'Display the currently best possible ways with no need for money.'
[According to host's parameters, the best way is to start Knight training. Found 1: Rowe Knight Manual, possible to use till Level 3 Knight.]
[Optimization possible. Proceed?]
'Yes.'
[Improved Rowe Knight Manual, possible to use till Level 7 Knight. Easier to use. Transmit to memory?]
'Yes.'
After confirming, Roland went back to looking around his room. He was currently lying in a king size canopy bed, there was a big oak desk and chair near the wall with a small window, a thick woolen carpet on the floor and a bookcase to the wall opposite the door. Seeing as there was no one around, he decided to try the Improved Rowe Knight Manual.
'AI chip, inform me of my progress after I'm done'
[Yes host]
And so he started training. One long breath in, 2 short ones out... 45 minutes later he stopped, having practiced 3 sets of breathing excercises.

At that moment a maid opened the door and came in with breakfeast. "Good morning, young master." "Good moring, Ysolda" he answered. She was surprised that he answered and used her name but she didn't show it. She informed him that his father wanted to see him in his study and that he should go after having breakfeast. He ate breakfeast, changed his clothes and went out of his room. From the previous Ronald, he knew the way so he went to his father's study.
