Chapter 8: "Gossips!Gossips!Gossips!!"
[Abi's POV]
"Nate," I said underneath.
My heartbeat is faster like it never felt before. My legs were trembling nervously. Can't feel the sensation in my body. He's coming close to me. The heart is pumping at a higher speed. Oh gosh, oh gosh, please stop, Abi just relax. Take a deep breath. It's just Nate.. only Nate. Be in confidence. Do not show your anxiousness.
"Can I owe your book for the day." He said in looking to my eyes.
The people in the background were silent and had a question mark on their faces.
"Yeee....aah." I stumble. "Yeah sure, you can." Tried to sound normal and confident. I handed my class book to him.
"Thanks, dear." He winked and goes off.
The surrounding was quite. When he(Nate) was talking to me. We settled ourselves. My friends were puzzled. There were a lot of questions flying around their head.
"Whaaatttt?" I exclaimed.
"What's going on? He asked you for the book. Did you ever talk to him? How does he know you? Blaire encountered me in dismay.
"Yeah, I knew him. I was introduced to him through Richa. But I don't have a proper conversation with him yet." I answered.
"Richa, that bitchy bitch," Gianna said. "What happened next?"
"He threw a party for a fresh start. Everyone was invited including me too. I believe you people were not present at that period." I explained to them.
"Nate always threw a blast party. I missed it. Next, what happened at the party?" Blaire asked curiously.
"We had played a game," I said.
"Game? Which game?" They asked altogether.
"Spin the bottle," I said. " Richa got stripped cause of her dare. I was about to get a kii..." I paused.
"Kiii... What?" Samantha raised her eyebrow.
"Nate got dare and Ethan asked him to kiss me," I said in awkward.
"Did you kissed him?" They asked with curiosity.
"No. I refused it." I said in disappointment. " I was uncomfortable," I added further quickly.
"What? You refused the chance to kiss Nathaniel Daberkow. Are you serious?" Gianna and Blaire said loudly.
I nodded my head.
"But why are you sounding disappointed." Samantha raised a question while sipping a coffee.
"I'm not. Why should I feel." I answered quickly.
"So you are not falling for Nate. Right." She said.
"Of course not." I tried to sound calm.
"OKaaayy." She said.
Did I make myself sound normal? I can't explain my feelings to them because I'm in a tender mind. I will try to keep it normal. Once I figured out. I will let them know. But need to research more on Nate. Apart from his stud personality how he is actually in his own skin.
"So guys, are you attending the next class?" I asked them.
"Noo..." They chorus.
I got busy on the phone. I tried to search more about Nate via social media. Should I check his account or not. Let's check it. But be wise in your move. No one should come to know that you are stalking him. Though I'm not, still can't resist myself. Nate Dabarkow, I got it. He had posted so many pictures. Pictures along with dumb chicks. Can't he be alone? Okay, So any information about him. I sighed there is no information about him like his close friends, girlfriends or girlfriend anything. He should mention such things about him. I'm done. There is no other information I could find. Regardlessly, I put my efforts.
"Wait, What about Richa Dorabjee?" Gianna broke the silence.
I raised my head up from my phone. What the fuck, where did Richa come from? I need to better find out.
"What Richa?" I asked.
"You don't know everyone in the college has a long story. So do Richa have." Gianna said.
"Then help me out to know about her. Because after the party she broke friendship with me. I'm still unaware about like what I did anything bad to her." I said to them.
"This has to happen." Samantha interrupted.
"But what exactly the story is with Richa," I said.
"Richa is Nate's ex-girlfriend," Blaire said.
"WTF," I said in surprise.
"Yup. They were in a relationship for the last 2 years." Samantha goes on.
"But what happened in last two years. Why they are still not together?" I said.
I was aware that he had dated in past but Richa was a shock and surprised to me.
"So the story begins like Richa and Nate were well known to each other. Initially, they were friends. Later, friendship turned into Love or maybe not love but infatuation." Blaire said.
"Then What happens next?" I asked.
"Everyone was aware of their relationship. They were pretty famous." Blaire said. "They used to spend a lot of time with each other in every corner of the college."
"They were all into each other," Gianna said in between.
"In class, they sat separate but Richa never misses a chance to talk to Nate," Samantha said. "I still remember she used to sit one seat ahead of us but she always faced towards Nate."
"How can you forgot their talks." Blaire reminded them.
"Talks? What kind of talks." I asked.
"A lovey Dovey talks," Blaire said in shy.
"Woah. Then what happens next." I asked.
"We need to go home now. We should leave. I'll continue on our way." Blaire said.
We were done for the day and on our way back home. Blaire continued...
"But they couldn't last long. They broke up after two years. The reason is still unclear. Neither of them clarified the reason. It' like everything got shattered." Gianna said.
"But still there would be someone who had given clarification- anybody their close friend- Ethan. He maybe knowing the whole truth." I asked in curiosity which I tried to hide at my level best.
"No. Somebody said they got bored, Nate cheated on her, Richa was not willing to continue the relationship. It was a huge grapevine and everybody was beating around the bushes and having a perception." Samantha Summed up here.
"But Richa does go in his party, what was that. If you got broke up you never buzz around a person." I said.
"It's not like that. They are just friends and sometimes they hardly talk to each other." Blaire said.
"One more thing, Richa is still possessive about Nate. We think she still does have feelings for him. Be careful." Gianna mentioned.
"Yeah. So the reason behind she is not talking to me is Nate. I'm good with that. Thank God I got you people as friends." I said.
"Yeah." She said.
"What's next story, you said there are lot more stories which are still unrevealed," I said.
"There are many but one more gossip is related to a very famous guy," Blaire said.
"Okay. Who is he? What's his name?" I questioned.
"Ohh he is very top-notch. And his name is Ty..? Blaire stopped. "We reached our destination. We will continue soon. See you Abi. Have a nice day." She said in a hush.
"Bbutt wait..." I couldn't complete my sentence.
"See you, Gianna and Samantha," I said them.
"Bye. See you." They said together.
