Chapter 1: What started it all
20 years ago demons, angels, and all supernatural made way of coming out and taking over the world. Since demons were first, they ran the council. The council had 5 of every type of supernatural, the elders, but only 1 demon who was the head of the council. Rovens High was founded by the council as the first school that both humans and supernatural went to in peace.
**** Aryan's P.O.V.
"Hey mom I'm headed over to Matt's house." I called out as I closed the door.
It was a quick drive to Matt's house. He told me that he had a surprise for me for the beginning of summer; our last summer before we graduate. I was super excited. I planned on telling him everything about me since we have been together for 2 years. We had the relationship that many dreamed of. We were the 'It' couple in the school. Everyone was envious. I was the star cheerleader and smartest one in the school. While Matt was the reigning football quarterback.
Matt came from a family of werewolves that ruled over the land for hundreds of years now. So he is destined to he the next Alpha of the Blood Moon pack. His father worked closely with mine so I was thrilled when he asked me out at the beginning of the school year since then I wouldn't have to lie to him about who my family was and why he couldn't come over. He is my one and only love besides the king of kings.
On the ride over I checked multiple times to make sure my light pink summer dress and matching sandals were not out of place. As I arrived, Matt practically pulled me out of my car. He didn't even let me grab my channel purse out of the car.
Once inside his house, he pushed me up against the door roughly.
"Hey slow down, what was your surprise?" I asked excited wrapping my arms around his neck with a bright smile on my face.
"Do you trust me?" he asked me looking me in the eye.
"With my life. You know that." I replied a little concerned why he asked.
Without hesitation, he tore into my neck. In my attempt to escape, he started to shred my body with his claws. In my attempt to get away I was able to get the door open, so we tumbled out onto the sidewalk. Right before I passed out, I seen Matt run off then seconds later a human rushes over on the phone.
"She has no heart beat!" a panicky voice said from above my head.
My body burned as if I was in the pits of hell. I opened my eyes a tad and was shocked to see doctors and nurses all around me. They were covered in blood; my blood.
"What is her name, we need to get a hold of her parents. Til then we can't do anything. Now who is her emergency contact?" a male voice, who I suspect belongs to the doctor asked.
"It says here in her phone that her father is Michel Moineau." the panicky nurse said quietly.
"Fuck. Everyone one out! Someone get security down here now!!" was the last thing I heard before I completely succumbed to the darkness for the last time.
I woke up in my room at my house. Was all of that just a dream?
I went to roll over and stopped once I felt bandages around me. I pulled up my shirt only to be meet with white bandages. I fervently rip through the bandages and start to scream at the sight that I see beneath them. Scars upon scars covered my abdomen. I looked on in horror as the small ones slowly faded. I didn't dare move a muscle until they all disappeared. Once I was finally over my shock, I looked around the room for my phone. I seen it on my desk so I stood up and ran over to it.
I grabbed my phone but wasn't able to turn it on since it was dead but the door opened as I went to plug it in. My father strode through the door with my mother in tow. They stopped in their tracks as they seen I was already up.
"Oh you're up already!" my mother exclaimed as she envoloped me in a hug.
"Um ya. I wanted my phone." I said awkwardly.
My father sensed the tension in the air and decided to dive straight into what was going to happen next. "Aryan in light of what just happened, your mother, me, the council, and the king have all agreed that you, the boltori, should receive proper training. So seeing as you are up on your feet I'll go get Maverick to come explain what is going to happen further. Anna."
With that my father left along with my mother. They left me with many questions but I know I will never get them answered by them. I wonder who Maverick is. I wasn't left long to ponder my thoughts as a man appeared behind me with a, boo. I, of course, jumped and screamed while he doubled over with laughter. After a few minuets he straightened up but continued to smile.
I have to as I was taken back by his sheer size and good looks. He was, by my guess, around 6 feet tall. He had charming green eyes with chocolate brown hair. He was tan, covered in tattoos that I could see peaking out of his uniform, and very well built. I bit my lip as I continued to look him up and down imagining all the naughty things I would do to him. Sadly I was brought out of my thoughts when he spoke.
