Chapter 5: The Patient
After we eat I take a shower sitting on the couch in my Pj bottoms. Scarlet and Lilith sit on either side of me asking questions about the outside world.
I stretch. "It will be a month before we leave, I'll be training you both in various different ways. The first will be fighting with your bare hands, no weapon can hurt the Patients besides ripping their cores out."
Scarlet leans forward. "What does the core look like?"
I pull the lollipop out of my mouth glancing at her. "It's a red crystal."
Their eyes go wide. "You're eating their core's!!? Isn't that dangerous?!"
I shake my head putting it back in my mouth. "I have to eat them to keep myself from mutating into one of them. You're gonna have to do the same if you plan on leaving the city. The toxic fumes will activate the virus in your body causing mutations. This is the only way to fight it, knowing that do you still wanna go?"
They nod determined I lean back. "You both are hard headed the Patients can take on any form from your memories, even us. In no way will we be splitting up so get use to changing and showering with me."
They look excited, these girls are perverts. Lilith grabs my hand holding it to her chest. "so did your body mutate at all? You look normal."
I point to my right eye. "My eyes are a ruby red color on this side the mutation gave me the ability to see patients anywhere I go. On the left I can see anyone's weak point. I have a second transformation but i'll save it for later."
She grabs my other hand "I wanna see it! Please show me?! We are going to have to see those things outside anyways, so this will be good practice."
Scarlet agrees I sigh. "You asked for it, if you have nightmares it's on you."
I close my eyes as my body transforms, The entire left side of my body turns into a jet black crystal form. My mouth is wide with spiked teeth that glow red, my arms have red veins going up to my heart. With every heartbeat a light pulses flows through my left side. My hair is also a ruby red crystal texture on the left side. My eyes turn jet black with a red circle I glance at them.
They both smile Scarlet locks her fingers with my crystal hand. "I know you wont hurt me, so it's not like im scared. it actually looks rather cool."
My body changes back. "You're both weird, if you're serious about this we will start working out everyday. All day, starting tomorrow so drop anything you planned on doing."
Lilith looks concerned. "what about my job?"
I pat her head. "Trust me money won't get you anything out there, I have way more than I'll ever use so just focus on getting stronger."
She blushes I hear a banging at the door I sigh as the door bursts open Bert comes in drugged up. "Babe what are you doing over here!? I got the stuff lets-"
She stands up fidgeting slightly. "Sam I'm not going to be living with you anymore. I'm planning to leave in a month so whatever we had is over now!"
She pulls the ring out of her pocket holding her hand out giving it to him. He draws his fist back I draw my gun pointing it at his face. "Take the ring Bert."
He grabs the ring stepping back. "E-Easy man."
I glance at the door. "You have a good night."
He grits his teeth turning to walk out Lilith looks at me nervously. "Ren I'm so sorry about your door ill-"
I walk over shutting the door repairing it. I use my abilities and start changing its properties to a thick hardwood door with a steel plate in the center. "It's all good."
I flop down on the couch. "You guys can use the bed I'm exhausted."
lilith climbs over laying where she did the other night scarlet glares at her. "He said we get the bed!"
She grabs lilith pulling her over to the bed lilith pouts and protests. I roll over looking at the back of the couch closing my eyes snapping the lights go out in my apartment, I slowly drift off to sleep. A while later I feel something heavy on my body scarlet is straddling me naked. "What are you doing?"
She turns bright red leaning forward using my chest to cover hers. "Don't look you pervert!"
I glance down. "I think you have this mixed up, i'm not the one straddling you naked while you sleep."
She covers her face. "Im sorry its a condition I have."
I sit up pulling the blanket around her. "Condition?"
She nods slightly. "My body reacts strongly at night when i'm near a male, it's why i've always been sleeping in my own room. It runs in my family I was going to ask my mother about when I saw her again, father said she did the same when she was my age."
I lean back checking the time. "It's still early you need some sleep. Will it keep happening?"
She blushes nodding I pull her down beside me wrapping my arms around her. "This should be enough, it's probably skin contact that your body needs."
She breaths eroticly. "P-Probably."
I close my eyes "Night scarlet."
She falls asleep soon after, I stay awake for a while watching the clock tick by. I close my eyes and the next time I wake up I hear them both arguing, I sit up groaning. "What is it girls?"
Scarlet is sitting up beside me with my shirt on. Did she get up put my shirt on and lay back down? "You said we were sleeping on the bed! Then you crawl onto the couch with him you bitch!"
I get up. "Both of you keep that rage for the ring no need to tire yourself out before we get started, now let's go."
I push them towards the bathroom they blush. "What are we doing?"
I turn the knob to the shower then start brushing my teeth. "Show time ladies get naked."
They slowly undress I drop my pj bottoms tossing them in the hamper stepping into the shower. they stare at me, I grab liliths hand pulling her in she yelps for a second before getting use to it. I hold my hand out to Scarlet. "You're next."
Scarlet grabs my hand slowly stepping in. After the shower I step out trimming my beard getting dressed before walking into the kitchen. Lilith grabs my belt loop I glance back. "Nope! You made dinner im making breakfast today you set the table!"
I pat her head. "Alright."
Scarlet looks nervous lilith grabs her hand. "you can help to!"
They make an amazing breakfast and I hear a knock at the door it's lenny "whats up, isn't it kinda early for you to be awake?"
he looks down I can tell he's serious. " Ren last night the outer wall of drop was breached and 45 people died from the toxic leak my brother was one of those who died..."
He looks nervous glancing up at me. "Can I ask you to go retrieve his stuff for me? I-Ill exempt your rent for next month and buy our next meal when we watch the game?"
I glance back at the girls they nod I sigh. "Alright man i'll see what I can do give me the info."
He presses his scanner to my neck the location appears in front of me it's rather close. The girls an I head out to the breach, this could be our ticket out of here. Leaving the normal way is very difficult and I dont wanna deal with the saints.
