Chapter 9: Rhyu's POV -- Nightout with friend

The loud noise paired with sexily clad dancers and party goers make all the male inside the bar hyped -up. Rhyu Umona or Ri for his friends and colleagues, is sitting at the upper deck portion of the bar-- not really joining the noise below. Since he is not in the mood for dancing tonight, he rented the exclusive round couch at the far end corner of the deck so that he can sit freely and relax with his friend. A bottle of water in his right hand, he appears to listen to the talk-shout of Ayaka, his friend and companion for the night, but his mind is wondering on the new update that he will do on his latest project.
He checks his phone every five minutes waiting for any update from his team. Unconcerned to all the music and dancing, he really wants to bail out on Ayaka and is thinking of an alibi to say to her.
He doesn't understand himself why he needs to go out and party at the middle of the week. He regretted that he was blackmailed by Ayaka to join her on her de-stressing night. Had he been more savage to women, any women, on the online game where she is also a part of, he will not lose to their latest fight, thus will not be in this lousy place in the first place.
He has a lot on his plate now with him being an MA Student in Software Development and his secretly start- up software company, he doesn't have any time to dilly dally.
Ayaka may have notice his disinterested look so she lean forward, holds his ahpulder and speaks quite loudly on his ear, "Hey, pretend to enjoy this ok? or I swear I will not back you up with Shigo." She treatened. She then lean backward on her seat, smiles to him coyly and do a subtle killing motion with her left thumb mock-slicing her neck horizontally.
"I am. Don't worry. Can't you see that I am having the time of my life now. Yeah." Rhyu sarcastically counters. He raises his thick but perfect brow at her, sighs and add on a more serious note, "Hayssss,, really how many hours should we stay here? You know that we do not have time for this right?" Then he smiles at her sweetly albeit quite forced. From the outside, their conversation seem like he is wooing Ayaka. Women around them swoon with that smile that he bestowed upon her. They think that aside from placating her, he is also giving her some sweet words. 'How they wish, they were her' they thought.
Ayaka signs 3 with her fingers, indicating that they still need to stay at this bar for 3 more hours, when all of a sudden a hand from behind her covers her eyes. She giggles and playfully elbowed the owner of that hand, Shigu Akiko -- her childhood sweetheart and longtime boyfriend. Shigu is also the unanimous group's moneymaker in their circle, with different successful family businesses that he manages after graduating in college.
"You're late, loverboy!" she shouted before pulling his arm downward for an open mouthed kiss. Shigu obliged her and give her a long kiss which prompted for Ri to stand up and mock-cover his eyes.
Ayaka stand-up as welland gestured for Shigo to dance with her in the podium downstairs. Ri, on his part, was surprise that Ayaka ignore her completely but what's new: Ayaka is the epitome of hoes before bros.
" O well. Since your man is here, my service is not needed already. Enjoy your night ungrateful lovebirds. Shigu, dont forget our meeting tomorrow." Ri's parting word for his two friends, but they didn't stop with their lovey dovey to acknowledge him, as if didn't hear what he said. He gave them a dirty finger signs before he put his cellhpone to the front pocket of his pants. He frowns at those two and take his wallet out from his back pocket and leave a couple of hundreds to the table infront of him to shoulder the bill that he and Ayaka made while waiting for Shigo. Feeling really regretful that he came and wasted time here, Ri contemplates if he will go home or visits one of his teammate near Kenshuwo college.
He walks toward the exit, unmindful to the appreciated gazes he received from several women, and disappears to the throng of people dancing below. Not knowing that his action that night will bring a beautiful trouble in his life.
