Chapter 4: Checking Out His Status
The Reincarnation Chamber was created by the 'father' and the other True Gods many years before I became an angel. It is a solidified spiritual space where the souls going toward the Reincarnation Spiral are imprisoned. The room first imprison the souls and then make them sleep for at least one thousand years. While they sleep the Room feed them of spiritual energy to keep them from fading away and with a special mind magic created appositely for souls make them slowly forget all their memories. When I first learned what they do I thought it was terrible after all, for someone as me who spent all his life in search of knowledge, losing the memories and in doing so losing the knowledge would been a fate worse than death. I had many doubt regarding the morality of this divine object so, in search of answers, I exposed all my thoughts to 'father'. He heard all my questions and answered them perfectly but, even after this, my doubts continued to persist. He said that I thought like this because I had became an 'ascended' only recently and that after a few years I would have learned to see the 'greater good'. I decided to have faith in him but, before going away, I asked the only questions I haven't had the courage to ask before"What would happen if one of the Rooms is destroyed?". He thought about it for a while before answering that probably the soul inside it would fall on Malos but, even before touching earth, it would fade away for a lack of spiritual energy. It would fade away, in simple terms a fate many times worse than death. Now, after over five hundred years, I've finally understood the 'greater good' father was talking about at the time and... I absolutely agree with him, even if sometimes I still have some doubts.

'What... happened?' thought Main as soon as his consciousness returned . The last thing he could remember was the two impossibly beautiful women, Shanta and Ireal, bickering and the room trembling before shattering in thousand of pieces. After that the floor shattered too and he... fell. He fell for at least an hour and when suddenly his soul, beginning to lack spiritual energy, weakened and he felt an huge headache before losing consciousness.
What he didn't know was that while he was unconscious his soul passed through an hill in the middle of a forest and entered a cave. Here his soul entered a pit full of a gel like gray substance and was absorbed by it.
What doctor Blyme didn't know was that for all these years... he hadn't failed. He had created a living creature but it didn't move because it wasn't complete, it was soulless. A soulless creature was like an object, it lacked character and individuality and was incapable of moving and do other complicated things so it wasn't capable of following the doctor orders. At the beginning the doctor thought of this options so he gave the creature the soul of a beast died recently but it wasn't enough, it needed a pure soul. A soul who didn't have a body anymore and that wasn't changed by any negative feelings and, finding a soul like this, was near impossible. The only way would have been to utilize the soul of a 'Saint' but every one of them is summoned by the 'father' as soon as they died. So the creature, without a soul, was destined to remain into that pit until, after a few years, it would have died. Or at least that was what would have happened if, for an incredible struck of luck, a bodyless soul who had been cleansed of all negative energy by a Reincarnation Room and so was pure, haven't entered it.
After entering the gel like creature Main remained unconscious for more than an hour. When he regained consciousness he tried to get up to discover what had happened to him only to find out...that he couldn't. At first he panicked then noted that not only he wasn't able of moving any limbs, he couldn't even see nor hear anything. The first thing he thought was that the fall had killed him... only to remember that he was already dead and he was a soul and, as far as he know, souls couldn't suffer any physical damage.
He thought "I'm... faded away? I'm only a soul so it is the only possible explanations I could think of but, if it is really what happened, should't I've been incapable of thinking too? I wish so much to know in what 'status' my soul i-" but before he could finish a blue screen appeared in his mind.

"...What the fuck is this? It seems a status board, one like the ones that appear in the MMO games. I can think only of two options, the first and the most probable is that I've finally gone crazy and the second is that I've ended in a game like fantasy world but then again... what is the 'Absorber' race?"
Main, thinking about his race and seeing how similar to the status board of an MMO game the blue screen was, tried to 'click' on his race to have some explanations by concentrating on it. He concentrated on it for more than five second and, when he was near giving up, another screen appeared near the first one.

A never before seen race born when the pure soul of an human of another world entered the body of a soulless living creature capable of absorbing and recreating other beings created by a mad scientist.
"So while I was unconscious I entered a soulless creature? It seems I've been lucky, if I hadn't entered it I would have probably faded away. If I see the scientist who had created it I need to thank him. I'm curious to know how my body is but, knowing it had been created by a 'mad scientist', I feel a bit of fear. Now I should probably see what my skills are, especially the unique one. They seem really strange"
[Passive Skill: Fast Auto Regeneration]
*Description*
Due to the strange material your body is made of you have the ability of healing rapidly and without any help. The only other race known to have this skill is the 'Slime' race.
[Passive Skill: Physical Damage Resistance]
*Description*
Due to the strange material your body is made of you have an high resistance against all kind of physical damage. This skill is ineffective if the opponent blow is coated with Mana. The only other race known to have this skill is the 'Slime' race.
[Unique Skill: Body Absorption]
*Description*
A skill that only you had. You can absorb the body of other beings of the same rank as your, both living and dead ones.
#Warning#
If you absorb the body of a living being when you 'shift' into them its highly probable that your behavior will be affected by them. Stronger is the being you absorb than you, stronger will be its effect on you.

(When Main absorb someone he didn't absorb their DNA, he literally absorb them completely. So if, for example, he absorb a lion he will absorb it completely end the lion will disappear)
[Unique Skill: Shift]
*Description*
The ability to transform into the beings you have absorbed. If you absorb the body of a living being when you shift into them you will have their stats and even their skills but your behavior will be affected by them while if you absorb the body of someone dead when you 'shift' into them you will obtain only their stats but you won't be affected by them.
°Mana Cost: 0
(If for example he absorb an arrogant man while he was alive Main will receive his stats and skills but will become more arrogant and will have a bit of the person personality while, if he absorb the same man bus he his dead he will only receive his stats and won't have his personality affected)
