Chapter 5: What Do I Do?
Okay so it was D-DAY and the whole freshers day thing was going to be at 5:00pm,so people who stayed at the dormitory had to leave right on time while the rest could arrive around 4:25pm, since the folks who stayed at the dormitory still had to inspect the entire event arena before the actual thing started ,yes..... i know it's weird it's our Day yet we were the ones who are supposed to the inspection work....now that's what it might seem like but our seniors did 98% of the job we were just there to add the finishing touches.
Now it wasn't like we didn't have classes in the morning WE HAD and all that we could think about was the freshers event. I mean come on it was like our first official function! also now that i think about it god only knows how did we manage to get through the classes, coz all i remember was dozing off to sleep amd waking up right before the class ends ,like i do love attending classes and learning it's just that I'm not really a fan of how we have an hour long or so of each subject.....,Anyways it was 2pm and all of us returned to our dorm rooms and boy was everyone excited mainly because this is where you get to dress up,look your best and stun the dudes/chicks at the party arena and trust me i was hella excited as well, i mean why wouldn't you be it's obvious everyone would try to look their best and have fun so what's wrong in having a lil bit of fun right?
I had specifically picked out a laced silk white gown for an event like this it had these cute lil jewels and flowery embroidery work in it nothing too flashy, nothing too dull just perfect,we were all in the process of getting our makeup done and selecting which jewelry to wear for the night,I'm good at the selecting part but not an expert when it comes to makeup, i can barely do it right so i needed someone to do mine and it had to be someone good!!!!... luckily my roomie jenna was there to help me out, honestly she and i never really spoke to eachother a lot since she was too indulged within her group but she noticed how i was struggling with my makeup and told me "you know it's better to ask someone " and my usual clumsy self went "oh yeah...yes!" she literally jumped off of her bed and came to help me out,i remember thinking she had an attitude when i saw her for the first because she had this cold look and seemed really secretive but i liked her as well coz she executes this cool independent woman vibe and i really love that quality of hers also she is drop dead gorg as well, i remember the number of phone numbers and cards she received on the second day of college it literally felt like Valentines day lol... sooooo to sum it all up yes she is kinda popular in our university.Fast forward she wasn't still done with my make up she was taking her own time so that i could look good.....finally she was done i wanted to look at myeelf in the mirror really bad so i got up and ran to look at myself in the dressing mirror and i was honestly impressed coz i looked really good and before i could say anything jenna said "you were already pretty all i did was enhance it and yes i know i did a wonderful job" we both started laughing at that lol.
The event hall was packed and the boys who were our classmates kept saying how we all looked so damn different and tbh everyone looked so different in a good way Obviously,so for like an hour or so we were just hanging out with the folks from our own class and after that we just made lil groups and spoke with eachother even tho i didn't have any close Friends or actual friends i had a pretty neutral relation with everyone so i did join in for a few little convos in some of the friend circles,i was kinda feeling a little thirsty so i wanted to go get myself a drink but before i could even get one jenna my roomie grabbed my hand and told me to join her lil gang i was honestly startled at first and a bit hesitant as well but i agreed on it anyways honestly the introduction went much better than i expected actually her gang didn't only consist of few of our classmates but also few seniors everyone was really sweet and welcoming, as we were talking jenna wanted to introduce me to a person who was a part of the gang as well, apparently she had known him/her for years and is a family friend as well,she tried calling him a few times but he was really busy and couldn't hear her i guess so she went off and pulled him i wasn't really paying much attention since i was talking with the others a few mins later jenna tapped on my shoulder and said "hey lu this is aaron he is a really close friend of mine and i really want you to meet him" i turned around to see who it was and boy was my stomach feeling the feels and was i smiling from ear to ear, y'all remember the dude who got me so mesmerized that i couldn't sleep properly it was him!!!! honestly i kinda forgot about him during the past few days since i was busy but looking at him just makes me wanna fly i know it's too cheesy but thats just how i felt,but before he could say hi or iterally introduce himself i ended up saying I LIKE YOU and i only realized it after a sec coz the gang was staring at me including jenna and aaron as well all i could think at that time was "what do i do now"????.
