Chapter 3: Vision Of Past Life

A Castle. It was a full moon night. grey clouds continued to float over the moon. A wolf howled somewhere. A storm was brewing slowly.

In the palace, Jingxi was standing infront of a huge LED screen looking focused and lost at the same time at the laboratory. The moonlight falling on her from the balcony made her look stunning like a fairy in her gergergeous fiery red gown with jewels glittered on the slender waistline.

A Crystal necklace glowed pleaseantly in her long, fair swan neck. Small siverish earrings shaped of a rose within a heart did proper justice to those soft lobes as well as highlighting her high cheekbones.

Silky, black hair updone in a messy bun with a few strands falling over her small forehead. A queen, that's what her vibe seemed to tell about her.

The room resembled a royal hall with signs of advanced technology along with a few vintage themed furnitures equipped with wonderful craftmanships.

The marble floor was covered with a soft black carpet outlined by red velvet, a holographic screen projector was placed beside the screen, An opened desktop rested on the soft messy bed implying the maiden working on the currently playing programme a while ago.

The white curtains were swinging in light motion due to the storm along with the full speed air spreaders. Jingxi seemed unaffected by the cold air despite wearing thin clothes.

She continued to stare at the screen as the ogive of different frequencies of star lights compared with the time axis continued to fluctuate.

Yiwan, the crown prince, entered the palace still having various thoughts playing inside his head about how to explain the whole turn of events to Jingxi.

He raised the curtains, looking at her lonely back faced at him. He felt a sudden urge to just go and hug her from behind. He felt a void in his heart although he was so close to the one, he had been dreaming of for the past few months, as if something inauspicious was about to happen.

He suppressed the bad feeling in his heart and with deliberate slow steps approached her.

A pair of warm big hands took her slender waist in his embrace. His chin rested on her face as he took away one of his palms off from her waist to fix the strands of hair.

He continued to gaze at her adoringly as her eyes were simply transfixed on the screen.

"Actually, I...." Jingxi turned to glance at him and then prevented him from saying anymore. "Crown Prince, I finished the project based on your pointers, they were quite helpful. Would you please take a look at it? The details match with the theory but there are some small fluctuations due to unknown energy ranges." She informed him calmly. No one would be able to tell about the slight clenching pain in her heart seeing her tranquil expression.

"Jingxi can we talk about it later? Come, I have something to show you." Yiwan said with a hopeful smile on his face as his eyes glowed with a hint of eagerness.

She also once had the exact glow in her eyes, but it faded away with time. She was determined to get answers to the unanswered questions in her heart before letting go of the love she has cherished in heart for so many years.

"Alright, as you say. Let's go." She replied looking at the floor to conceal the look of bitter sadness in her eyes.

He covered her with his white tuxedo. She felt a surge of warmth although she knew it was wrong, she couldn't fall for him anymore.

He held her small soft palm with his big warm one before giving her a genuine bright smile. She couldn't help but be dazed looking at his smile. It was just all too late. Her heart once again turned bitter.

That dream again!!But this time a bit more vivid, she almost felt like this wasn't a simple sense of deja vu, rather more of a memory buried in the coffin of the past. After waking up from the realistic dream as always she was craving to embrace the man in her dreams and felt a deep sense of loss. It was magical to vividly watch her dream prince this closely, unlike other times when his face was just a messy blur.

She could feel the deep sorrow of the princess she saw in her dream who had the same features as hers, just that she had a different charisma.

She was curious, she was dying to know the rest. The prince ....what was he going to say. She felt as if it was a thriller movie with a huge cliffhanger, just that it was bit emotional. The strange thing was she felt as if the sorrow and agony belonged to her. Quickly shaking off the weird sensations, she took a while to compose her emotions and take a look at the unfamiliar surrounding.

Jingxi almost jumped out of her bed after opening her eyes. She found out that she was in a customized room that she immediately fell for. what the hell is going on?

She asked herself being much bewildered. She suddenly felt the room she was in, was actually moving. " Another weird daydream 'cause of watching "Journey To The Wonderland" movie last night? Hmm, my unfinished research draft must be glaring at me. " She muttered to herself with a long sigh.

Yeah, she also wished for a prince charming kidnap her and hide her from the rest of the world, but seriously she was way more worried for her daily six step skin care regime and Professor Sean Caroll's lectures.

Speaking about which....
