Chapter 5: Our Dungeon.
"Um, How do we even access the dungeon?"
"Well the medium depends on the person. For me it's through a small book that I can use the cores functions."
"Well how do I summon my medium?"
"First focus and try to feel the core and the rest should feel natural."
After hearing this less than clear answer John focused into himself. Surprisingly besides feeling his own body he also felt something more, like another part to himself that wasn't there before.
(Is this the lizard? Now that I think about it I should ask her name soon.)
After feeling that other part he felt something like a large mass filled with information. When John tried to look closer a shock resounded through him causing him to jump and open his eyes. Before him was a transparent screen that looked like a computers but without any of the needed hardware.
"Is this my medium?"
"It seems it is although it is a very strange looking one for sure."
The strange screen was very simplistic with a few options on it.

The first option was straight forward enough but the other three were harder to guess. Well the only way to know them was to take a look. First off rewards. After taping on the option a catalog filled with many things from swords to what looks like the skill stones the lizard talked about to even what can only be described as furniture. A bed that can double as a shower and a couch that can be driven is not what I expected to see in dungeon.
"Why are there so many strange things in the rewards area?"(John)
"Eh... This is weird. Why are there so many weapons and furniture!"
"Is there not supposed to be this many things?"
"Yes with our dungeon just now waking up there should at most only be some basic skill stones like spark. Instead its filled with lots of strange weapons like this halberd with a spinning blade or this mace that flashes bright light with every hit. Not to mention these strange couches. "
"So this is weird for dungeons. Could it be that we can access these earlier because of our situation?"
"Must be. haa~"
For the first time in his life John had gotten to see a lizard with a defeated expression.
(Can a lizards face really be so expressionate? Actually is she even a lizard to begin with?)
"Um So what about the map?"
"Oh that just keeps record of everything within a mile radius of us and shows clearly hostile enemies while outside the dungeon. While in the dungeon it can show everything and everyone inside. Even those that try to hide."
"OK that's understandable but what about the Sub Functions. Is this where that hibernate option you mentioned earlier is located?"
"Yup, but there is also the message option and the subordinate management. Neither of those worked before you came so there should be somethings for use there."
John clicks open the message option and sees that something has already been received. After opening it a message appeared.
/Congratulations for beginning operation of the dual core dungeon! This dungeon is different to other dungeon due to it's increase in requirements for operation. Due to this both operators will receive a specialized cultivation method that will suit their needs best.
