Mia: Thanks for purchasing! Have a great day!
I send off another customer with the pastries they purchased. I, Mia Cox, have always been in love with everything sweet and bubbly. I originally wanted to become a pastry chef but, as luck would have it, I suck at baking. So, in order to be close to sweets, I started working as a salesgirl at Sweet Treats, the best sweet shop in all city!... At least according to most of our customers.
Naomi: Mia, you can take a break now, I'll fill in for you.
Mia: Okay!
My coworker and good friend takes over my duty and I head to the break room. I grab the fruit custard that I tried to make last night from my bag. I didn't get to taste it at home since I feel asleep. I hope it tastes good! I timidly put a spoonful in my mouth.... This is...
Mia: So good!
Oh em gee!! I can't believe I actually made something that tastes good! Oh, I should have Naomi taste this too! I run over to her without giving it a second. There she is!
Mia: Naomi!
She turns around in surprise. I'm about to leave the room when my foot hits the doorframe making me trip and the custard goes flying towards Naomi. I fall on my face.
Naomi: Eek!
She ducks just in time, but then reveals a customer standing in front of her. The cup of custard hits the man square in the face. HOLY CRAP!!!! What have I done?! If Ethan finds out about this, hell fire me!! I quickly get up rubbing my nose.
Mia: I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!!
I'm such an idiot! Why did I come running?! I pick up a few tissue papers and hand it to him.
Mia: The restrooms are that way-
The Man:...
The man continues to clean himself up. Uh oh, he's not saying anything! I must've pissed him off! I'm just lucky Ethan isn't here.
Mia: I'm very sorry.
I keep apologizing to him and he sighs.
The man:... It's okay.
Mia: Huh?
I was keeping my head down the whole time. I look up to see his face. S-such a handsome guy!! I'm practically gawking when Naomi pinches my arm to get me back to my senses.
Mia:..! You mean you won't complain to our manager?
The man: No, this is okay.
He points towards the tissues that he used to wipe the custard off his face. He likes my custard?! I don't know how I feel about that.
Mia: Oh.
The man: As far as the complaint goes...
I gulp nervously.
The man: I'll let you off.
Mia: Really?!
My eyes light up. He looks stunned for a split second but then leans closer with his elbows on the counter.
The man: Only if you do me a favour.
He smiles suggestively and I'm unable to look away....
