Chapter 48: Please Remember What We Have Together.
(Storm's POV)
"Athena, what are you doing?" I asked in disbelief. She didn't answer until she stood me up and held me up against the wall. "I'm only following what Alpha told me." she answered. I looked into her eyes and I noticed something was definitely wrong. Her eyes looked as if she was blind. It had that milkiness look in her eyes, literally like a blind person. I knew then that she wasn't in control.
"Blade you son of a bitch! You used your powers on her! You hypnotized her!" I yelled out. All he did was laugh and said "Well of course I did. What better way to kill you than to have your mate do it for me?".He then turned to Athena and continued "Athena please kill him quickly because I don't even want to see his face anymore".
All Athena did was nod and turned her focus back on me. She then clenched onto my shirt even tighter and tossed me across the room. 'God damn. Where did all this strength come from?' I asked myself as I attempted to get up from the ground. I looked at Athena, who was walking towards me and I tried to talk to her. "Athena, it's me Storm, your mate. Blade is not your Alpha. Your father is your Alpha don't believe what he says."
She stopped for a second and it looked like her eyes flashed back to normal for a second before they went back to the milky colored eyes. Seeing that, I realized all I had to do was remind her of us. She came closer to me and tried to punch me but I quickly dodged it and pushed her back. "Athena, please remember. Remember I'm the teenage boy who was tied up to a tree and got beaten up. Then you rescued me." I kept trying to talk to her and her eyes did the same thing as last time.
She still kept on trying to fight me. She ran to me and tried to kick me, but I blocked it and pushed her to the ground. "And then you gave me the exceed doll to keep me safe." I continued. Her body then twitched a little after I said that and then she jumped up from the ground. She lit her hand on fire and started to throw fire balls at me. I quickly made an ice shield to block the fire balls. "Please Athena! Remember when your dad attacked me and you had to take me to our home to bandage up my wound, but I kept yanking my arm away and then you got irritated and kicked me in the shin."
Instead of stopping the fire balls, she kept throwing more and it was melting my shield. It didn't last long until she threw one more fire ball and it completely broke my ice shield. Athena then ran to me and attempted to hit me with a fire punch but I blocked it. I don't want to hurt her but there is only so much I can do. I teleported to the other side of the room to get away. "Remember on our first date, we went to dinner then we went to the club where you saw Justin and Diamond battled you in a dance off. Then we went to my mother's grave so you could meet her."
Athena twitched a little more and then threw a fire ball. I quickly tumbled and rolled to escape it and then continued to talk. "That night we had our first real kiss". She grabbed onto her hair and yelled "STOP!". It's working. I have to keep going.
"The next day, you found out I was half vampire and when you chased after me Diamond and a couple of other vamps kidnapped you. After I rescued you and took you back to the your parents house, I got sad and went to our house and soaked myself under the shower until you found me. I begged you not to leave me and you said to me that I couldn't get rid of you that easy."
Athena looked at me and her eyes we're flashing back and forward, but then it stopped and she looked at me with pure anger. She turned herself invisible and I didn't know where she went. I was trying to pinpoint her location but before I could, I got kicked really hard in the stomach and went into the wall. 'Fuck! That shit hurt like a motherfucker' I said to myself. I attempted to get up, but I was then punched really hard in the face, knocking right back to the ground.
Athena appeared next to me and lifted up my head. I spat out some blood and looked at her. She then punched me again, knocking me back down to the ground again. 'Fuck!' I lifted my head from the ground and saw she was going to kick me. So I took the opportunity and swept her leg, causing her to fall to the floor. I transported away from and still kept talking. "Remember the night we both said I love you to each other. That was the first night we made love to each other."
She got up from the ground and held onto her head and yelled as if her head was in pain. I took the chance and froze her feet to the ground. She couldn't move her feet at all. "Please Athena, remember what we have together." I said desperately trying to get it in her head. She used her fire to melt the ice to her feet, but before she could come at me, I teleported to her and pushed her into the wall.
"Athena please remember. You wanted us to get married on the cliff your grandparents showed you when you were younger. You wanted us to have three kids. Two boys and one girl just like how I wanted when you read my thoughts." She held onto her head and kept twitching. I was so busy watching her that I didn't see Blade was getting irritated and decided to take matters into his own hands and had thrown a knife towards me.
I turned to blade and saw the knife coming towards me at a fast speed. I closed my eyes waiting for the knife to hit me but it doesn't. I open my eyes to see Athena facing me. Her eyes were back to normal and with tears in them.The knife hit her in the back instead of hitting me. I looked at her in disbelief and her knees buckled and she started to fall to the ground. I caught her before she hit the floor and pulled her close. Tears started to fall down my face. "No, No, No, No. Baby please No.No don't leave me please."
Her breathing was slow and she started to cough up a little blood. She murmuring something so I went close to her. Her last words made me break down completely. "I.. Love.. you.." Then her body went limp. "NO! NO! BABY PLEASE WAKE UP!" I yelled. I pulled her tightly close to me and sobbed uncontrollably.
