Chapter 21: Where’s Li Qiang when you need to elope?
We both released from the hug in a very fast way and I almost pushed away when I realized how close we were. But I advised against it and just slightly moved to the side and turned around to face Liu Wei.
His face showed anger in a very obvious manner. I looked next to me and saw the pale face of Li Qiang. Which was normal considering who was raged in front of him.
Then his face suddenly turned to me.
"You would just hug a man like that in such a loving way when you back away if I even come near you?"
He scoffed and rolled his eyes at me while continuing to say.
"Looks like you can't be let out of my sight or I don't know what you'll do."
He took swift actions and grabbed my wrist to take me away from Li Qiang and pull me to his side.
Then the feeling of winter was once again clouding the room when Liu Wei looked at Li Qiang with a glare that could kill anyone in contact.
"And you. Leave this room and my sight for at least a week before you're fired and I find a way to make you dying look like an accident."
With who he knows it's quite possible there was someone who could easily kill without much remorse. So he immediately ran from the room without looking back.
"Yah! How could you say that?!"
My voice echoed through the room as I had the urge to yell at Liu Wei for his actions.
He looked down at my small body and grabbed me by my waist to pull me up to his height.
"If you act like this again then there will be a definite punishment that will take time to recover from..."
He leaned into my ear with a smirk plastered on his face and I shivered as I felt his lips touch my skin.
"And who knows maybe you won't be able to walk the next day or the next week."
My eyes shot open wide and he looked me in the eyes with his piercing gaze.
But despite what he just said I wasn't afraid of him I mean how could I be he's done so much.
His phone rang quietly and he put me down intercepting the call but not leaving my side.
My heart slightly warmed at the possibility that he didn't mind if I heard anything. Maybe it's because he trusts me?
Then his deep voice threw me off.
"Did you find out the information?"
I heard a voice from the other side answer as if with anticipation.
"Yes the man works at X company and is the current CEO. He is hoping to become the director in a short time once his father retires. And also Liu Wei....."
The man hesitated slightly as if not sure how to phrase the next news coming.
"He seems like he's also in the underground business working under yáng yáng. Since you haven't been as active this last month yáng yáng has been trying hard to use this opportunity."
He ended the call without another word and I looked at him shocked.
So wait he's in the underground business too?
