Chapter 3: Big Alyn and the Fishmonger

As the morrow or the morning came I was standing at the told location with my friends from the Garrison; Rey Flint was crying and have by some means made his father to gift me a proper dagger and skinning knife.

The Twins were over some fight but turned out they were begging their father to let them come with me; I mean who wants to come with a 7 year old who was going to fish for his immediate life after all these folks don't know about my plan for future but still.

As we were parting I finally saw a pair of guards coming towards us with a cart pulled by 2 ponies and 2 pairs of hounds with a big man who i do know as Big Alyn as he was close to 6'5 the dude was huge and have been working for Stark 's Garrison for over 20 years but he was old now and slow too.

"Hello Alyn how are you by the way?" I asked him and he replied "Gud lille fish so tell me u rady to travl" as Alyn replied to me with few teeths the words hit me like a hammer and I understood that he was the one who was coming with me to the Redfish village.

"So it is your family going with me huh ?" I asked. "Yuup and thy are alrady joind up with the rst of the villagrs outside Wintertown my work was to take you to there"he replied.

"Well then let's go " as I started to walk Alyn stopped me and passed a short sword sheathed and already in a sword belt and told me to wear it on my back as the belt was too big for me.

I wore it like how Lord Stark wore Ice at it's back , it made me feel giddy.

As we reached outside Wintertown I saw Lord Artos with a contingent of around 30 guards and his immediate family they were travelling to Deepwood Motte and as our path converged halfway the villagers followed Artos by the time we reached the path were Lord Artos and we were going our ways I have already meet up with Alyn's family of 5 his 2 sons Brus and Ben his daughter Lysa and good daughter Arya with Ben and a daughter still a toddler yet to be named due to some belief that children should be named after 5 years of their birth.

Both his sons knew how to swing swords and ride as they came with horses and Brus even let me to ride with him through all the travel.

When we reached the village I understood that Alyn just wanted a quiet life and so did Ben but his 2 other sons stayed at winterfell in search of glory Ben was afraid to die as he know had a family to feed and look after. And Brus way of finding glory was to hunt Ironborn on our shores; typical muscleman.

While travelling I used my bow to hunt a couple of rabbits and a pheasant. I also found out that since my brain works as a 20 something year olds sometimes it still retains its physical makeup of a 7 year old all the reasons why I sometimes act so excited and childlike ; this is messed up.

I understood that the cart was a way for Starks to get their promised yield and the ships true owner is highly likely to be Alyn and thus all that transpired was actually a kind hearted women looking after an orphan who reminds her of her dead baby nephew. Yeah my hooked nose and those sharp bulging eyes remind her of the dead nephew no wonder she looked after me; at least I think so and so does Alyn.

These did made me alter my plans but I know the general gist of it will remain the same.

AFTER 4 MOONS (MONTHS)

It's been 4 moons since we arrived back to our village and after 3 week our own fishing vessel was completed thanks to the coin of Alyn and family and as they promised Lady Stark they took me in their incursions. As according to Alyn I'll get my own ship when I prove my worth to the Starks. As for the hounds, Bow and Sword was for the protection for myself whereas the spear and sword was actually kept with Alyn except when we were fishing you Know for protection.

Both Alyn and Ben are average as soldiers according to my belief but according to the Northmen they are good, thing is they are shit as fishermen according to all.

So for them I turned into a boon as everytime we went for fishing our haul always outshined most of the villagers I always made sure to look as normal as possible sometimes. Now we dont want me to die for the crimes of some kind of black magic or sacrifice.

I got the 30th part of total haul everyday.

I also implemented of preserving my fishes in big trenches that I dug with the help of Ben with ice in order to preserve the freshness of fish. Villagers usually just smoke them for preservation.

Looking at the state of my fishes after a week and finding them still fresh the villagers started to call me "The Fishmonger" born to fish. Sound foolish if someone had asked me.

AFTER 4 MOONS

I have opened a business like a storage facility to the villagers where I dug the holes in ground and filled it up with their daily hauls with ice and some secret recipe of preservatives we use in Atlantis to keep the fish fresh; luckily I knew the recipe and it's ingredients were ample in the wild.

Some tried to copy it but it utterly failed. But the true sense of my childlike smugness came in the form of me and Alyn going to Winterfell next week for presenting our haul of fishes.

223 A.C.

The village which housed around 40 people was know housing around 200 men, 130 women and around 43 children all because the Starks were presented over a tonne of fish, crabs, lobsters, shrimps and squids. And the face Lady Stark makes when she is happy for all to see was rather a very disturbing sight.

But not in every case does the advancement of a village means good especially when you have Krakens coming at your shores.
