Chapter 4: Typical.
"I'm downstairs. Black car. You can't miss it".
I closed my eyes. My head was already pounding with the two shots we took back at my place.
Tequila is the devil's piss I swear.
"Bells did you text him"? Kate was way too excited to meet Samuel. I could feel my energy draining away with every word she spoke.
As long as I could remember she's always been obsessed with boys. Especially boys like Samuel.
She was dressed to the tens. White dress. Nude heels. Chanel purse. She looked good.
I laughed silently. Kate was on the hunt.
"Yeah just sent him a text".
She grinned widely. Seeing Kate like this brought back memories of us on our way to the club in Tokyo.
"You're way to excited. This boy is like any other boy we've seen and done. Trust me".
Kate was reapplying her lipstick but I could feel her side-eyeing me from head to toe.
"And those boys were fun. It's been boring for little 'ol me".
She turned her attention to me.
"But...damn Bella" she said while fixing my hair. "It's been a while since I've seen you like this. You look hot" She smirked "Did you dress that way to get a certain someone's attention".
I looked at the rear view mirror in the front. Black dress and black heels with my favorite YSL crossover.
I did look good but not for him. I knew coming out would be the talk of the night. Everyone would be pulling out their phones texting anyone who knew of me saying I was "back in the scene". If i was going to get photographed I'd better look damn good.
"Ew Kate. Not even. He reminds me too much of my ex".
My ex was a full blown narcissist. He was hot but he knew it and to top it all off he was a DJ. As if being the certain of attention wasn't enough for him.
"Oohhh yeah that was a big no no. He's cheated on you every chance he could get too".
I couldn't help by roll my eyes every time I thought about him.
Bzzzz.
"Coming down now". I glanced at my phone.
Let's just get this over with. I didn't want to bring any more unwanted attention with me to the club.
"OOOO was that just him who texted?! Does he know what car we are in? Make him sit in the back with us!"
"Yeah he knows" I said while turning to look at her.
We're parked in the middle of the lobby entrance. He's not that dumb.
Is he?
All of a sudden Kate eyes widened. "Girl. That's him yeah? You didn't say he'd be this hot".
I looked out my window.
Oh. He did look good.
White long sleeved button up. Two buttons undone showing off his chiseled chest. and black jeans. Not too tight either, and his black hair slicked back. He looked around and stared at our car. I forgot the windows were tinted.
"Yeah, that's him".
Before I could say anything more Kate called him over.
"SAMMMUEELL. Over here! Your entourage has arrived". He looked confused until he saw my face. "Oh hello Bella and-" He glanced over next to me "Kate. Pleasure". He smirked.
"Pleasure's all mine Kate. Call me Sam".
Typical. So easy to tell what he wants. I was used to boys like Samuel.
I took a quick glance at him once more time.
Hot but most definitely not my type.
"Come Sam sit between Bella and I". I glared at Kate.
"I'll sit in the front you two can take the back".
"I wouldn't mind being between two girls though". I looked up at Samuel.
Gross. Typical. Typical. Typical.
"No I couldn't impose on a GUEST at this hotel". Kate scooted over as soon as I got out of the car. "Come! Sit, sit" patting the free seat next to her. I closed the front door and nodded at the driver signaling for him to go ahead to the club.
The car would have been silent if it wasn't for Kate bombarding Samuel with questions.
"Sam if there is anything you want to do just let me know". Kate then locked eyes with Sam "and really I do mean anything".
I chuckled. Kate was most definitely on the hunt.
Sam got the hint and nodded before slowing changing the subject.
"So how do you and Bella know each other". He glanced at me in the rear view mirror before turning his attention to Kate.
"Bella's family does -".
"We are childhood friends".
I didn't like people talking about my family. It causes unwanted attention in my opinion.
"Ahem as a I was saying". Kate didn't get the hint. "Bella's family does real estate and construction. My family supplies gas to their equipment. So, basically we grew up with each other".
I could feel Sam staring at me. "Interesting, so why are you working at the information center in the hotel then".
Kate laughed, "Silly what are you talking about? Bella's family owns the hotel".
Before Samuel could say anything the driver turned into the club.
"Oh look we arrived! Lets go Kate. Sam". Before I could walk in Sam pulled me and whispered in my ear "Quite the princess aren't we Bella".

"Not the type of princess you'd think I am Samuel".
He smirked and walked up ahead with Kate.
Why was I get flustered.
Damn that tequila.
Before entering the club I tipped the driver "Don't let my grandfather know I'm out, pick us up at 3-" I looked over at Kate and Sam. "Make that 6 am".
The driver nodded and drove off.
"Stay safe miss".
Right.
This is going to be an interesting night.
