Chapter 9: THE OTHER ONE
Looking at the state of her daughter, Mrs. Shimizu assured her that there must be another guy already waiting for her. She never knew thought that her daughter, who was submerged in studies,dramas and novels would ever discuss about love with her mother. Mrs.Shimizu was slightly happy and kept consoling her daughter and gave her the most unexpected tip.
"Yuqi, you get over a guy with the help of an another one! There has to be some guy who likes you in your school. You look pretty and are good in studies. Wait for that guy patiently and when he does turn up... see if he really likes you and you start to like him too. Okay?",she said.
"Now stop crying and wash your face. You still have school tomorrow. Act normal in front of Sosuke. Even though I am fond of that kid, how dare he reject my daughter! Make him regret it.",she said in a very comfortable tone.
These words from her mother made Yuqi smile. She felt less sad.
---In a Park---
"Yuqi confessed to me! Yuqi Shimizu confessed to me!",Sosuke's voice was loud and clear. His tone could be interpreted as both shocked and confused.
"Honestly, I would be delighted. She is amazing. Looks,figure and brains. I mean why not?!? But looking at you right now, I am sure you told her no! I mean you are an idiot after all!", Kaito said clearly annoyed at Sosuke's decision.
"She is my friend! Of course I said no. I don't want to spoil our friendship.Even if I end up with feelings for her later... I wouldn't regret what I did now!",Sosuke exclaimed making his point clear.
"I bet anything that you will regret it. You have no clue how many guys like her but nobody confesses to her because the guys who had previously confessed to her were rejected in a very insulting way. You will be in fumes when another guy takes her. You are not the only charming guy you know. The other one is still more popular than you!",replied Kaito.
"I don't care and I am going home. See you tomorrow!". And the two friends headed home but who is this "other one"?
