Chapter 7: God....
Damn this man called Joe with his annoying mouth. The next day afternoon I was relaxing at my balcony.
"Hey miss!!! miss!! miss!! miss!!" The man shouted again disturbing my peace and continued on as if he had all day doing this.
"What!!!" I shouted back in higher voice. "Hehe.. Yesterday you left without saying your name!! I just introduced my self and still don't know yours." Joe sounded so happy.
I was shocked at the words of Joe. I didn't think someone from the upper district wouldn't know me.
"Who the fuck are you and where do you came from? Can't you tell by looking?" I replied.
"Huh?! Well I'm just a hunter. If you could just open your eyes you could tell that I'm not from around here you know."
"I closed my eyes beacause I'm blind can't you tell by looking how I went inside my house yesterday?"
Indeed Zoey closed her eyes and stretched her arms looking feeling the door after she got annoyed.
"Oh.. I'm so sorry miss. I thought you hate me that you don't wanna see me. Now that I know I feel bad." Joe's voice sounded apologetic.
"Its alright. If your not from around here then you should know I love it being quiet here." I calmed down a bit as I recognized Joe's apologetic voice and said sorry once more.
Once again I find my peace. "Hey miss" After such short time again I heard Joe's voice in more quiet and softer sound. "Pssst.. Miss" "Hellooo?" This man Just wouldn't shut up. "I SAID PEACE AND QUIET!!!!" I think veins appeared in my face as I screamed once again from the top of my lungs. "C'mon miss your the one who is loud here disturbing peace." Joe made another comeback that made me once again retreat to my house.
This happens time and time again. Next day I decided to relax early in the norning. "Good morning miss!!" Joe's greeted after a while as for me. "That's my cue." I stand up and retreated.
Next day I tried doing my lunch outside with Deb preparing my meal. "Hi miss!! I found a delicous rabbit early in the morning. You wanna eat together?" Again he is there. So what I did. "Deb prepare my meal inside. we're retreating." I said as I find my way to the door while Deb toom my meals inside.
What I did the next day. "Deb tell me if that man exited his house okay?" I asked Deb to go in the balcony and watched when the man leaves. But after a while I was surprised. "Hi miss Deb?" I heard Joe's voice greeted Deb. How did he know Deb's name?
"Hi sir Joe. A lively day again I see." Deb answered with her childish voice cat. I can't believe it. They are having a conversation and enjoying it. I can't take it any longer so opened the door.
"What the heck Deb? You two know each other? Explain!!" I yelled as I make my enterance."Hi Miss!!!" After that Joe once again greeted me. "Joe Shut Up!!! Deb explain!!!"
"Miss Zoey I just knew sir Joe yesterday. You know before dinner as I was cleaning the balconny he saw me and gave me a fresh rabbit. I was surprised since the rabbit has a quality of meat so I thank her and made some small talk before he leaves." Deb explained as if her voice was about to cry.
"Wait rabbit? Is that what we have yesterday dinner?"
"Yes Miss Zoey. Why? You even said it was delicous." I was shocked and can't believe I ate this hateful man's offering. Then I realized.
"You said he went back at his house?" I asked Deb.
"Yes miss Zoey. After some talk he went back." The fuck that annoying man retreated small talk how come he never retreated before?
"Alright Deb tommorrow teach me how to make that man retreat." I tapped her Deb's shoulder but instead my hand went to her head as I said my piece.
"Hey!! What are you gals talkin about? Share some stories too." Joe's voice sounded again. "Shut up Joe!!! Deb!! Retreat!!!" I then ask Deb to accompany me inside.
"Bye Deb, Bye miss!!! Glad you liked the rabbit!!" I was embarassed as I hurried my retreat.
That day I asked Deb her ways to make Joe retreat and tommorrow she will accompany me to ensure victory!!
The next day as Zoey said. She prepared to make Joe retreat. Deb was taking care of her as she combs her dark blue hair that stretches at her chest. Deb prepared a white long dress that sparkles along in the sun.
"Remember miss Zoey. Just have a small conversation and you will be fine. Just enjoy it as much." Deb was giving her pointers as they prepared to go in the balcony.
Zoey then sits their and relax while accompanied by Deb. She took a tea and a soft bread as she waits Joe to come out.
"What the heck? Why isn't he coming out?" It was a smooth plan as Zoey was thinking about it but it was already lunch and Joe still didn't come out. Later Vina came and prepared her lunch.
"Can't believe it is out? This meat is good Vina." Zoey ponder's as she ate a high quality bird meat.
"Thank you Miss Zoey. Uhm . .are you talking about Joe just now?" Vina asked as she saw her complaining as she ate.
"Yes? You two met? Vina?" Zoey asked curiosly.
"Yes Miss Zoey. A while ago as I was at the market we bumped with each other. It seems he jusy got back hunting and on the way to the Hunter's guild. I saw her couple of times before as I go buy some bread at dawn so we recognize each other. He then gave me one of the golden bird he hunted and made a small chat and went seperate ways saying he needs to go and buy equipments after reporting to the guild." Vina explained.
"Golden bird? You mean this one I'm eating right now?." Zoey asked.
"Yes." Vina nods in confirmation.
"Gaaaahhhh!!!! I can't believe that guy!!!!" If it isn't the meat was just good just now Zoey wouldn't have continued eating it but a Golden bird is a rare meat that isn't easy to aquire.
Latr at night.
"Aaahhh can't believe him away for entire day. This realy is relaxing!" Zoey shouted as she sits on her chait facing the sky. As she was lost in thought waiting for Joe she remeber how the stars in the sky looked and asked Deb for a miracle water.
"Aaahh... It's been a while since I saw this beautiful scenery." Zoey saw the dark sky illuminated by millions of stars that shines like a diamond.
"Wasting my miracle water for this. It ain't bad." Just as Zoey admire the beauty of the night. She heard a door opened.
"Isn't the night peaceful today miss?"
Just the she heard Joe talk and surprised her. She immediately turned her head as she looked at the young man standing in the balcony next to her house standing looking at the night sky.
