Chapter 22: Marchlands.
Alex prepared room inside of his house for Aron to use. Treating sickness required at least week, and he needed to stay here to make sure all people get back to health. His focus fell on plundering traits from snake.
'What will be consequences of adding to my body typical animal traits?'

'That's good to know. How about bloodlines? Can I plunder them too?' Alex had orc bloodline, so it was possible to encounter enemies with bloodlines later.
[It requires integrating of sub-systems. For example, integrating profession system into greed system will allow host to plunder professions.]
'Rest of traits are little too much…' Growing pair of fangs or venom glands was out of option. It would make to many troubles during interaction with humans.
The most useful was actually the poison digestion, snakes did consume poisonous creatures like frogs or snails. Digesting poison before it could affect on their bodies was smart move.
'Being immune to venom makes me perfect snake breeder!' Boy decided to breed snake inside of his ranch. It will require small hunt on marchlands.
A next day, he left at dawn to explore marshlands. There were many different mushrooms and other marsh plants to grow inside of his farming space.
'Let's breed snakes and other exotic animals!' Animal venom was ingrednent for many modern medicine, beauty products and drugs.
'It will be good foundation to venom business!' Some snakes are breed specially for their dangerous venom, prices of such substance depends on species and level of venom.
In purple grass, there were two other species of snake. It would be great to add them to his ranch.

This snake was basically harmless, although it could bite. It preferred escaping and scaring of its opponents. Sometimes, it faked its own death.
It used similar defense mechanism as skunk, level of smell was below animals. Aron didn't care much about its struggle and focused on getting more snakes.

This cobra was only little slower than boy's body. He couldn't risk getting injected with venom. Attack was simple, boy used handful rocks and threw it at cobra. His attacks were multiple shotgun shoots, impossible to completely dodge. Cobra got few wounds and finally fell on the ground in pain.
'I got you!' Another immunity to his collection, extremely useful and he needed to add it right now. He searched for any abnormalities with thermal vision and found more snakes.
'I need to wait. I cannot catch this cobra without immunity.' Getting few more mushrooms and other local plants allowed him to not waste any time.
After adjustments, he caught previous species of snakes and inserted them into space.
'It's time to go back. There were many patients to treat.' He could explore marshlands later, so he came back.
Snakes were inserted into ranch, they couldn't crawl around other spaces.

'Ability to suppress natural instincts of animals. Ranch is more complicated space than I thought!' It was truth, animals didn't want mate at all.
Every species of snake got its own terrarium and environment was actually better than one from marchlands.
'Finally, I don't need to worry about lacking meat. Birds will bring a lot of meat to me!' Short time from chick to adulthood and high number of eggs.
'I need to get more animals.' Thinking about getting more animals was easy. The easiest way was getting those from wild. Villagers didn't keep many species, only simple and easy to handle.
'I could capture small birds too with bird snare trap.' It was simple and effective trap. Getting few species shouldn't be hard.
'Another way was hunting at night.' New vision would allow him to partially see during night. Many species slept during day and hunted at night.
Aron came back to house and none was inside. Taking out spare clothes from space for n-th time could cause suspicion. He decided to borrow some clothes from Alex, his absence made him reconsider this decision.
Problem was simple, those clothes were actually quite unique. The widow put a lot effort and time to create such piece of fine linen robes. People with eyes could easily see those features and people with sight problems couldn't.
'Hmmm. He is mason. Let's search for masonry!' Man didn't have any workshop in this hut, so it could mean only one thing. His workshop was somewhere in village, maybe closer to quarries.
Village was quite hollow, most people were laying in beds or taking care of sick. It made usually lively parts of village empty and lifeless. He liked quiet environment more than crowded places as it allowed him to focus on things without disturbances.
Another advantage of such silence was possibility of hearing things that would be naturally drown out by noise.
Pound! Pound! The rhythmically pounding of hammer could be heard. It was Alex. He was working inside of small masonry not far from quarry.
"Good morning!" Aron greeted old bull forgetting about his pitiful appearance. Mud, clay and some plant matter covered his entire body.
"You have interesting hobby…" Alex's reaction was reasonable. Kid didn't even wash plant matter from his body and his appearance was similar to mud monster.
"Can you lend me some spare clothes?" It was little mistake of him, forgetting about simple things like cleaning dirt from his body was shameful.
"Go wash yourself first! There is set of working clothes inside of this chest! It should fit you…" Those clothes belonged to his assistant. He was one of first to fall sick, he was friend of man with scar on his face.
Washing dirt from his body and changing clothes made him feel little refreshed. He came back to masonry and thought.
'I could learn masonry from him.' Another profession could bring him an attribute points and skill points.
"What brings you here? You didn't come to borrow clothes…" It was interesting question, boy was multitalented in many fields. What could interest him in simple masonry of his?
"I thought you could show me thing or two about masonry. Fate of this people is on my shoulders…Waiting is killing me…" His patients didn't require his constant observation, boy instructed people to call for him if something happens.
"I understand this feeling pretty well. Working allows me to forget about all horrible things happening around… I will show you my work…Rest depends on you…" It wasn't long until Aron picked some basic skill, and he could really assist Alex in his work.

Intelligence related profession were rare around villages, most profession focused on three basic physical attributes. Luckily leveling up profession gave him AP and he could increase intelligence.
