Chapter 11: 3 years later!
3 years passed by, The small group of the three boys and Elora had grown a lot taller and more defined, however, that was not the end of it.
Bastian's hair now reached his shoulders and could actually turn to the colour of the blue lightning. His build seemed much more sturdy yet still slim. One can feel danger emitting out from him all the time. He could kill someone in the time it takes to blink.
Ethan's silver hair remained the same not too long nor too short, his eyes however turn red when flames danced around him threatening to obliterate anything in sight.
Tyrion's change was the biggest because he was now what you would call a giant back at Earth, he's already two meters and a half tall! With arms thick as one's legs and his black hair was now falling all the way to his back!
The three were all topless since the clothes they had could no longer fit them. So they had to make some from the beast skins of the beasts they managed to hunt. Abs and pecs could only be described as drawn or chiselled on their bodies.
Elora also changed very much, her previous flat chest was a good blossom to behold. She grew a lot more charming and beautiful. those little freckles only made her cuter. She looked very attractive wearing beast skin as well.
One very eye-catching thing about her is that she seemed confident and no longer afraid. They all had bright eyes and excitement written all over their faces, apparently, they were about to endeavour into something they have long been waiting for.
" Finally, we can leave this forest and see what the outside world is like and how big it is!" Elora said.
" Yeah, we've been here long enough! It's about time!" Bastian replied
"Damn right!" Tyrion nodded.
" Eeeh!" Ethan kept silent as he looked at the forest.
" This damn mad scientist." Elora cursed.
After three years together, she was already a part of their family and a close member they relied on. All barriers have been broken and she was very much at ease cursing anyone of them while the others only felt it was natural.
" But I've finally found out how to integrate those crystals into our weapons!" Ethan
" eeeh! so?" Bastian asked.
" I need more crystals!"
" You have got to be fucking kidding me! are those not enough?" Tyrion pointed towards a bag filled with crystals.
"Not barely enough!" He replied.
" Come on Bastian! Just a bit more! You also enjoyed making new weapons!" He looked towards Bastian with a pleading look only to be ignored.
"You and your never-ending experiments! at first, it was eggs, then intact corpses of beasts then you had us catch them alive!!" Elora complained. Ethan had tried dissecting the corpses to see how the energy was exploited from those crystals but because the entities inside the eggs were not fully formed, he had no way to succeed. Corpses were the same since the body functions were already shut down which only left living beasts as an option. She also had to accompany him during it because of her ability and she couldn't say no! She can't even how many times she vomited.
" Shut up fake boobs!" Ethan cursed back!
" You!! What did you just say to me!"
" F-A-K-E B-O-O-Bs, here I just spelled it for you! You only got them from fruits or your chest would still be a scrubber" Ethan did not back down!
"I'll beat your chest so hard you'll grow your own" Elora cursed
"Shit! don't start again or else we'd have a couple more dozen trees piling up!" Tyrion stopped them.
" Stop unless you want some lightning up your asses" grinned Bastian as he looked at Ethan and glanced at Elora who blushed.
" This freak!" Ethan cursed.
" Not as much as this big guy over here!" Bastian pointed to Tyrion who grinned.
" Anyways, after working so hard we now know in which direction to go. This forest is just so damn huge! Besides, there's no longer any meaning in staying here anymore!"
" Yeah, we cleared all the beasts in this area already!"
" Elora and Bastian had been working for months before they figured a way out!"
" You sure that's why they took so long?" Ethan asked with a smile.
" You!" Elora Blushed
" Hahaha! Don't worry brother, maybe you'll meet some mad female scientist and you could experiment on each other! as for you big guy just pick one of the beasts lying around I guess they'll have no choice but to obey!" Bastian shot back.
" Come on! let's get going, it'll take us at least 3 months to reach the checkpoint on the map !" Tyrion hurried and he seemed like a raging bull about to burst, he really wanted to leave.
" Okay! Let's get to it then"
The group of four looked at the tree which had been there home for the last three years. On the outside, it seemed like any other tree except thicker. On the inside, however, It was very splendid looking. There were 2 rooms, one huge and was used by the three brothers, the other one was smaller and was Elora's. There was also a big warehouse-like room where they had been keeping all their harvests and a big lounge that had a place to eat. They couldn't exactly cook inside a tree using fire!
They touched the tree with their hands, then Bastian used one of the two daggers on his waist to write his name on it, the others all followed and did the same to leave their mark on the first place they called home in this new world filled with beasts and who knows what else.
They turned around decisively, Tyrion walked to a huge looking bag that was probably made the skin of a furry animal, it had their provisions for the trip. Ethan held the bag containing the crystals. Elora had a small bag of her everyday stuff the same as Bastian who had two daggers lying at his waist as well as two guns.
They then ventured forward, days passed by, every day was the same, just moving forward and soon they reached their destination in only 2 months instead of three however what was surprising was that they found what looked like ancient ruins of some sort of civilization.
" Hey, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Bastian scrubbed his eyes.
" Yup, those statues sure seem like humans, but why does one have wings, one, horns and the other claws!" Elora said
" Could they be some sort of hybrid." Ethan thought out loud.
" The one with the claws looks like me with my gauntlet on!" Tyrion pointed and remarked.
" Hey! You're right, however, I think these are not the only ones, look at that rubble and those with legs but nothing else." Bastian pointed to another side
" Hmm, Shh! Keep quiet, I sense something!" Elora said
" what could it be?" Ethan mumbled.
" No way!" Elora gasped.
" What is it?" They asked
" If I'm not wrong this place is filled with… I think goblins!" She said unsurely.
" Goblins?" They were surprised! They lived in this forest for 3 years yet never came across anything besides different kinds of beasts.
" Well, That's the only way I could describe them. They seemed similar to what I've seen back at earth!"
" Let's see" Tyrion put down his bag, opened it and took out a meatball which he threw towards the ruins. Seconds later, a small green creature, about half the size of Tyrion which could actually be considered quite big but because they have been facing giants all the time their view of size changed.
It only had a rag covering its genitals and it seemed awfully filthy. Drool was falling down on its body as it staggered towards the meatball while holding what seemed like a rod. Two more creature followed it as well then started fighting amongst themselves for who gets the bigger share. Eventually, the one that came out first took two thirds while the other two shared the last one.
" How many are there?" Ethan asked Elora.
" I can only sense about thirty heart beats so I guess thirty but my sensory abilities are somewhat blocked there and I can't push further," she replied.
" What do you think we should do?" Tyrion asked.
"Of course, kill them and explore those ruins!" Ethan said as a frantic expression surfaced on his face.
" We don't know how strong they are, besides we have to be careful not to be surrounded," Tyrion said.
" So we should just leave?" Bastian was obviously unwilling.
" No!" Tyrion said Ethan responded at the same time as well.
" Then what?" Elora asked
" How about we lure them out, and get rid of them slowly, a group at a time." proposed Bastian, hungry to fight.
"Good Idea!"
