Chapter 66: Abnormal Genin
After the unexpected promotion of Kazuna, the hall returned to calm not long after as the preliminary began once more.
Hana and Izumi are angered by his actions to no end at this moment and without any kind of restrained Hana directly called out her 3 ninkens while Izumi has already trapped many of her opponents into a Genjutsu to make made them attack one another disregarding herself and Hana who is also bashing everyone left and right with no mercy with the help from her dogs.
After only a few minutes after Toma's announcement to begin half of the contestants are already knocked out and from the remaining half, most of them are under Izumi's illusion but only one Suna Shinobi.
"Alright that is enough. " looking at the remaining 16 Genin standing in the middle of the Hall called out Toma with chakra enhanced voice as everyone to stop.
Right after he was done Hana who is holding a waterfall Shinobi by the collar let go and caused him to fall on the floor while her ninken's also stops biting the 3 other Suna, Ame, and Kusa shinobi who was already sweating in fear as well as giving Hana a hateful glare.
"What are you looking at, do you want more? " feeling offended by the glare from the loser who wasn't enough to satisfy her anger asks Hana giving them a glare in return making them run to the side in a hurry with nothing to say.
"Let's not remove our anger on them since we will have plenty of time later. " says Izumi patting Hana on the shoulder as 7 Shinobis fell on the floor behind her while breathing heavily.
"What did you show those guys to make them so desperate? " shaking her head Hana asks turning towards Izumi who was controlling almost half of the Genin under her illusion and among them, only 7 made till this point while the rest were taken out my other opponents.
"Just a glance of a certain war we were part of. " said Izumi with a smile as she looks at the 7 Genin's who are breathing heavily on the floor.
"Afer we return let's team up to punish Kazuna. " said Hana giving a nod.
"It's such a shame he has a strong resistance to my illusion. " said Izumi after a sigh turning towards Kazuna who has raised his hand with a smile towards them to show his happiness from their successfully moving to the next round.
"Do you think elder brother, Shisui can put him in a Genjutsu? " asks Hana with a curious tone as the best friend of Izumi she is well aware of Shisui's level in Genjutsu and even if she wasn't Izumi's best friend Shisui's fame as the best Genjutsu expert of the generation is undeniable.
"I think my Itachi-kun is more than enough to put him under a Genjutsu and when we return, I will ask him to have a battle with him to test how strong he is compared to him. " says Izumi with a proud smile.
"Although Itachi's skills and strength are undeniable however I don't believe he can defeat my Kazuna. " said Hana in disagreement.
"I know you have very strong confidence in him but don't forget my Itachi-kun is already a Jounin. " said Izumi in disagreement.

"Why are you looking at that Suna Genin? " asks Shikaku who is standing beside Kazuna.
"Don't you find something strange about him sensei? " asks Kazuna with a serious face as he turns to ask Shikaku.
"That kid's name should be Hatamaru and he was the only one who wasn't affected by Izumi's Genjutsu at all if you are asking at this," says Shikaku with a smile before he turns out to explain his findings a few observations of the whole battle Royal.
"Yes sensei I am telling you about exactly that anomaly when a Jounin like yourself is unable to disregard her Genjutsu at this point how can he be able to do that.
Don't you think there is something wrong here? " asks Kazuna with a serious face as he focuses his gaze at the certification Hatamaru.
"You can disregard her Genjutsu as at such a young age, so why is it abnormal if someone who is almost twice older than you can do the same. " asks Shikaku shaking his head in disagreement.
"For your information, I was born with a stronger mental resistance than most people besides that I can also have a sense of everything around me with a closed eye.
So I am different than him and since you don't understand the crux of the problem let's just see if anyone else can till the end of the Chunin exam. " said Kazuna shaking his head in disagreement.
"I am also curious about what you found so strange about him and since you are not interested to tell me about his secret then I also don't mind waiting for a while. " said Shikaku with an indifferent face before taking another look at Hatamaru but discovering nothing strange he shook his head before looking at Izumi and Hans who are returning by there side.

Anyway, since you have made this dar and didn't receive much rest since the beginning of the exam it's time for you to take a short rest and prepare for the next and final round of the exam which will take place at the Sunagakura Colosseum in a month.
